On the look out for some shoes for casual. What would you suggest? Converse really hurt my feet.

I had some lovely Havianas.

I got them from Poste Mistress when I was desperate with blisters. They were about sixty quid Shock but they lasted years. They were brown with turquoise beads all over the top bit. Just beautiful.

Then the bastarding dog ate them. Never seen another pair like them.

I mourn.

Victoria plimsolls are good and come an amazing array of colours
Quite narrow though

Someone has to suggest Saltwater Sandals so it might as well be me. Sort of super-frumpy but also comfy and quirky.

And Superga are great. I love Converse but can't wear them for miles and miles of walking.

HopefulHamster are the saltwater sandals ok for walking in the city? Am considering a pair but they look quite flat with little padding...

HopefulHamster · 31/05/2015 23:44

yazzy they are very flat and with next to no padding, yet I find them quite comfortable for walking in for an hour or two at a time (I don't tend to do longer in them because I'm usually going into town at back, they might well last longer).

It's a weird one, I know I find converse uncomfy to wear all day, yet the saltwaters are fine. However if you're unused to them and prefer padding, you may well find them too hard.

Thanks HopefulHamster , will have to test them out!

The bershkas do look like they have a nice squishy sole, I hadn't considered that sort of style. The rose gold Office ones could also work if the sole has enough give, will need to check them out in real life. Ta!
