Wedding dress reassurance needed (photos)

I went for my wedding dress fitting on Saturday...and had a bit of a meltdown because the dress has some odd looking lumps that I never noticed. I'm now thinking about buying another dress (though really can't afford it). What do you think? Does it look ok? As an FYI this isn't a picture of me!

Or should I just think that I only have one wedding and to get another dress?

It looks so much better on you than the model! I think it's a lovely dress and fits you well

Indecisivejo · 18/05/2015 13:23

I agree that looks gorgeous on you!

LtheWife · 18/05/2015 14:39

Thank you Jewels, the dress was a Justin Alexander from 2011. I was so unhappy with it after my first fitting (also at the 8 weeks to go point) that I cried, totally out of character for me and the only time I cried during the entire wedding planning process. Please don't worry about your dress, with a few alterations it will be perfect. It's just normal nerves I promise you, you'll love every second of wearing it on the day.

It's lovely. I definitely didn't like it on the model..

I couldn't wear a dress like that. Too booby and too chubby on hips and too old.

But you've got it so flaunt it!

Take it to a dry cleaners that does alterations, maybe some adjustment could be made to the darts or side seams?
They can also steam it so it hangs better

I have a similar style of dress for my wedding this year

I am also an E cup

I have been PROMISED that I will have my boobs in. Fortunately one of my BMs is a wedding dress seamstress.

OP where are you? If you're within any achievable distance of Bucks I can recommend an amazing boutique who tailor.

MUCH nicer on you OP than on the model. You look gorgeous. I can't see any lumps . You need a bit of room for movement but I think you are experiencing last minute wedding dress nerves. Thanks

Oh you look beautiful!!! It's so lovely. All the best for a fabulous day.

Allie82 · 19/05/2015 21:22

I think it's gorgeous! Is it the under layers causing the puckering? Make sure the lining is all firmly pulled down underneath x

nooddsocksforme · 19/05/2015 22:09

dont like the model in the dress-she looks tarty, On the other hand I think you look gorgeous and very slim and elegant in it.

Hooleywhipper · 19/05/2015 22:13
