I've just put on a full component of war paint and thought, "Wow. I sure am wearing a lot of stuff on my face." Maybe I'm weird, but I thought it could be fun to list - in ascending order from skin up - what I've put on since my morning shower.

Skin Care:

Boots Time Delay Daily Brightening Tonic Water (AHA)
Indeed Hydraluron gel
Olay Regenerist Serum
Clinique City Block SPF 25

Makeup:

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector
Colore Science Sunforgetable Powder Sunscreen SPF 30 (I do the Michael Goss trick of powder under foundation)
Clinique Redness Solutions Foundation
Lancome Effacernes Longue Tenue (concealer)
NYX taupe contour
YSL Touche Eclat (highlighter)
Nars Orgasm blush
Touch of pressed powder buffed in (Michael Goss trick)
Soap and Glory Archery DIY Brow Bar (powder and wax)
Bobbi Brown eyeshadows
Bourjois felt tip liner
Seventeen Falsify mascara
No 7 lip liner
Lancome lipstick

I promise I'm not orange and scary!

flightywoman · 15/04/2015 18:22

Started with some moisturiser after the shower - the very last scrape of Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm. Then it was a normal day, so my usual 'work' face which today was:

Urban Decay Potion eyeshadow primer
Urban Decay Naked 3 palette using Strange, Dust, Nooner and Darkside
Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner on top lash-line in Granite
Benefit They're Real mascara
Urban Decay eyeliner in Demolition

No blush or highlighter today. And I really need my brows doing!

copious amount of sand from the beach courtesy of DS2

Bugger all else.

InQuiteAPickle · 15/04/2015 19:55

Boots cucumber moisturiser
Rimmel long lasting foundation
Rimmel long lasting concealer
Barbara Daley bronzing powder
Rimmel blusher
Rimmel Wonder-full mascara.

Can you tell that Rimmel products were on offer in Tesco? Wink

defineme · 15/04/2015 20:10

Washed with soap and water.
Kids factor 50 suncream.
Rimmel concealer, blusher, eyeliner, mascara.
Burts Bees lip salve

feel like I missed out on a make up lesson somewhere in my life, I honestly haven't heard of lots of these products. I use whatever moisturiser is on offer. Years ago a woman on the Clinique counter said I didn't need foundation so I have never used it. I am 40 and feel perhaps it's time to start!

Wondering if

thetroubleis · 15/04/2015 21:33

Simple soap
Nivea factor 45 (on sale in home bargains for £1 so I bought 2)
The poundland face powder.

Not much today as I've been doing child related things, but sometimes I'll use

No17 BB cream
L'Oreal beauty tubes mascara.

I have to say that lately, as I've been going to the gym more, drinking more water has had the biggest effect on my face. (but the treadmill has had the biggest effect on my pelvic floor Sad )

ShakeyPushDown · 15/04/2015 22:19

Dove soap to wash face.
Body Shop Pomegranate moisturiser with SPF-something.

Body Shop BB cream
Colour Me Beautiful translucent powder
Revlon (I think) powder blush
Estee Lauder Granite eye pencil
Colour Me Beautiful eye shadows (taupe, something light and blue for lash line)
Estee Lauder mascara
Blister tinted lip balm

ShakeyPushDown · 15/04/2015 22:21

Was meant to be:

Cetaphil
Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion
Hydraluron
Heliocare gel SPF 50

Actually was:

Late for work, did nothing Blush

dragonflygirl1 · 15/04/2015 22:55

Wow. I washed my face with my shampoo (don't worry- it's a gentle faith in nature one) while I was in the shower, then used Jason organic vitamin e cream. I did wear makeup today, so that was concealer under my eyes (no. 7), eyeshadow and mascara, both boots natural collection. Plus lip balm.

Fabulassie · 15/04/2015 22:58

Today I changed things slightly.

Cleaned with Clinique Take The Day Off Balm
Boots Skin Brightening toner
Hydraluron gel
Olay Regenerist Serum
Clinique City Block

Dior Airflash foundation
NYX taupe contour
Revlon cream blusher
Bobbi Brown eyeshadows
Benefit They're Real Push-Up eye liner
Benefit They're Real mascara
Soap and Glory eyebrow kit
Chanel lip liner
No 7 lip liner to fill in

(I left off the Becca shimmering perfector, the powder-before-foundation step, the touche eclat highlight, and the powdered sunscreen from yesterday.)

Today was the first time I actually liked the Benefit eyeliner. I'd tried it a couple of times and not seen the point but today I got a good, thick line and even a little cat-eye flick. It makes a very bold line but the waterproof means that it won't bleed or smear anywhere. However, waterproof means removing it at the end of the day is a real bitch.

ouryve · 15/04/2015 22:59

A little bit of plain, unfussy clinique moisturiser and some super lysine coldstick around my lips and edges of my nose because I have a coldsore tingle coming on.

Any amount of make up makes me feel like my face needs a wash. Horrible.

dansmum · 15/04/2015 23:22

Just tepid water and prescription cream for my acne rosacea, same as every day for the last 5 years Makeup=hives so it's the natural freckled look all the way. Getting tough to carry off the natural beauty look at 46 !!

FelixFelix · 16/04/2015 08:22

Washed face with La Roche Posay Effaclar foaming gel then used the same brand toner and Effaclar Duo anti-blemish cream (my DP bought me the set and it's rubbish, but I don't want to waste it so I'm trying to use it all up)

Makeup wise I used:
Lanacane for primer
Clinique anti-blemish foundation
17 Miracle Matte loose powder
The blusher and bronzer from the Sleek light contour kit
Benefit Brow Zings
Rimmel Glam Eyes liquid liner
Loreal Million Lash mascara

janestheone · 16/04/2015 10:13

blimey. supermarket own brand huile seche tonifiante (I live in France) & rose hip oil on face, neck, cleavage and knees (I am 60), then Rimmel facial primer & foundation, bit of mascara, Body Shop lipstick. No mascara on days when I go swimming (about four times a week) and Clarins SPF 30 moisturiser April to October when I go to the allotment (two or three times a week). No makeup on non-work days unless I am going to church or out for the evening. Avene spray sun protection April to October on all exposed bits. (I've got red hair, fair skin and freckles).

TwoLeftSocks · 16/04/2015 10:16

Just a smile :)

FrugalFashionista · 16/04/2015 11:16

Chanel sunscreen and serum
Missha BB cream
Les Meteorites
Nars eyeshadow also worn as liner
Nars lipstick

I love simple routines!

AGirlCalledBoB · 16/04/2015 11:21

Just some face wash and cream.

I don't wear make up everyday, so am make up free today
