Did I dream it, or is there such a thing as lip stain?

I may well have dreamed it, but is there a product that is somewhere between a lipsil and a lipstick? I want something that has moisture, but not gloss, and that holds a decent colour.

Does it exist or should I get down Dragons Den?

Come back!!! :)
benfit do lip stain -benetint in a red and a pink which you can use on your cheeks and lips and i think the body shop do their own version.
it is more of a stain so no moisture but you can put lip balm over the top

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 25/02/2015 20:47

Ooooh I found it! Face and lips! Its a definite contender!

Clinique chubby sticks are quite a good imbetweeny. Wouldn't call them a lip stain though, that makes me think of benetint/90s very un-moisturising lip colours from the Body Shop.

Gunpowder · 25/02/2015 20:48

X post!

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 25/02/2015 20:48

Thank you Penquin and dylsmimi I think I need some of that in my life/on my face Grin

Gun is the benetint very un-moisturising?

I like the look of the chubby stick

Maybelline BabyLips? Colour and moisture but not too glossy - and very reasonable price.

dylsmimi · 25/02/2015 20:51

www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/benetint

it is good. I tend to just use it on my cheeks but handy to dab on lips

Gunpowder · 25/02/2015 20:52

Yeh. It's just a colour, like ink for your lips iyswim; so you'd need lip balm too as dylsmimi says.

goodasitgets · 25/02/2015 20:54

I have one that's a stain one end and a lip tint the other... Back when I find which is it!

Penquin · 25/02/2015 20:54

Yeah it won't moisturise your lips but it does give a good colour. It's kind of a watery consistency that sinks into your lips.

Helpfully Angry ive lost it
Have a feeling it's Revlon just bitten lip stain and balm

Skinheadmermaid · 25/02/2015 21:12

Mememe do a lip stain. Superdrug used to sell it but it seems to have disappeared. Its a dupe of benetint.
Body Shop also have a lip stain but I don't know if its any good.

DealForTheKids · 25/02/2015 21:15

Interesting fact about benetint: it was originally designed for strippers to make their nipples/areolas look redder Wink

daftyburd · 25/02/2015 21:20

I saw a lip stain by Hourglass in Space NK. Colours were nice but pricey.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/02/2015 21:39

Benefit brilliant for cheeks and dreadful for lips ime. It's horribly drying.

The Bodyshop do a dupe that is worse than Benetint on cheeks but better on lips.

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 25/02/2015 22:48

Thank you all! I like the idea of a lip and blush in one, but the dryness would be an issue.

Think I may look at the more balmy ones.

I am evangelical about Revlon colour burst matte balm stain. Velvety matte, great colour, nourishing and moisturizing, long lasting in a tactile thick waxy pencil. There is a really on trend fushia.

Flambola · 25/02/2015 23:11

Clarins have the oil lip stain. Or their.. Can't remember the name but like instant light perfector or something?!

grumpasaur · 25/02/2015 23:15

I have a Clinique one and if does maintain colour but dries my lips out. Stays on for ages though.
