Did I dream it, or is there such a thing as lip stain?

I may well have dreamed it, but is there a product that is somewhere between a lipsil and a lipstick? I want something that has moisture, but not gloss, and that holds a decent colour.

Does it exist or should I get down Dragons Den?

I like the rimmel too but wear the revlon more often. It is moisturising and I've got a nude which is great. Pink truffel iirc, can recommend.

Burst Bees do a thing which is a cross between balm and lipstick. I really like them, and they are only around £5 so handy to stash in a pocket or handbag.

The YSL Glossy Stains are good. (They start glossy then go to a stain. Magic!)

CuttedUpPear · 26/02/2015 22:00

I think Holly means Burt's Bees, not Burst Bees (yuck, Sad )

Bugger, just google Colour Pout.

BrandyAlexander · 26/02/2015 22:49

The Nars one is amazing. Moisturising, stays on all day. It's expensive but so well worth it!

Thanks miss Smile

I'm excited to go shopping for one

I'm not mad for the ysl gloss one. I bought the very red one and it is too sheer for me, even after lots of applications.

nottheOP · 27/02/2015 06:57

Urban decay and max factor have both done stains, not of they're still in existence though

HellKitty · 27/02/2015 07:28

I have the Urban Decay lip stain, it's not too drying but it tastes rank! Works though.

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 27/02/2015 10:49

How rank is rank Hell?

I don't really plan on eating it Grin

HellKitty · 27/02/2015 11:10

Hmm, a bit earwaxy and a bit like the stuff you paint on nails to stop biting them. That kind of rank!

Boswollox · 27/02/2015 12:44

I use lip stains/tint by Astor, they have a balm at one end too. I get them off eBay for about £1.75. They are fab for the price!

Ultraglow (blast from the past)

Back in the 1980s (zzzzzzz Old Gimmer Alert) when there was only one bronzer (Ultraglow) they also did lip stains.

I had a looksie on eBay , there are quite a few on there (last 12 hours)
I did buy the Durakiss (nice black case, slim lippie rather than the 'bullet' ) I didn't find it any longer lasting really, but the LipStain had to be chisled off.

And I'm sure y'all remember the green one that changed colour with your pH ?

Just tried the YSL lipgloss/stain mentioned previously....it's not as mess free as the Maybelline - some colour transfer onto a cup but the colour was great on me, so I'll probably invest.

HellKitty · 27/02/2015 16:07

I remember 70! And you can still get them Shock

trinitybleu · 27/02/2015 17:01

Younique are bringing out 7 New colours on 1 March. The original one lasted 14 hours through eating and drinking at my Christmas Party, plus sleep and breakfast on me, not drying at all. It's proper matte though.

I'm off shopping tomorrow, so will have to make and extensive list of lip stains to try from this thread. Thank you Thanks

The YSL ones are great but pricey.
