Shop easter sunday is 5th of April

I'm so tired but resisting all urges to nap. Must push through til later tonight or it'll make the sleeplessness even worse

I think I want some more vans, the slip on style ones. I already have some star wars ones but fancy some more. hmmm

Topazandpearl · 14/02/2015 17:42

Some great shopping links here and wow on the organisation front one.

I thought I would consider having my eyelids done in the future, if I was brave enough, but reading lib's comments on Charlotte Rampling has given me second thoughts. I am generally quite happy with myself, wobbly tummy and all. I prefer it when I am at the lower end of my weight range (about 7lbs less than where I am now). But even at my heaviest, I think my legs are good. I am definitely happier than I was 10 years ago!

No fashion news. Am at that stage of the year where I am bored with what I have but don't yet know what I want. Also I am doing that thing of wanting to wait till I have lost more weight.

I hope the silence from sleep means that she is well on her way.

We were at the theatre last night (kind of a Valentine's outing, but not really as the date was a coincidence) and we are in tonight (DH cooking pheasant breasts in a chasseur sauce which we will have with cauliflower mash and spiralised courgettes). Off to visit DPs for a few days tomorrow.

Enjoy the evening everyone.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 14/02/2015 17:48

Happy valentines all. We are at PILs and they're having a party, I'm wearing m&s jacquard mini with grey t shirt.

I like myself at the moment (other than my face skin obviously). I find it amazing how much more confident I am lately, a recent thing. In my head I'm still a teenager, and I was a very awkward one (in looks and other ways!)

Have a lovely evening everyone! (You are all fab and no one needs to have any work done. Smile)

LinusDKD · 14/02/2015 18:34

DH offered me a glass of wine at dinner and my response was 'bwoak'.

A sure sign I haven't quite recovered yet as by this time on a normal Saturday evening I will have already drunk a G&T and a glass of wine.

I haven't had an alcoholic drink in 7 days, which probably accounts for the majority of my weight loss. Wink

maradesbois · 14/02/2015 18:46

to Topaz. Glad you enjoyed the theatre & your dinner sounds lovely.

I generally don't ask dh for opinions, he's very honest, too blunt sometimes but at least a compliment is a proper one. He's all about the natural look eg Parisian style and won't have it that the casual insouciance has a lot of effort behind it. Am going off on a tangent here but basically we agree to disagree on some things .

One blimey, you're ahead of the game with your packing!

Linus forgot to say earlier glad you're on the mend.

GeorginaWorsley · 14/02/2015 18:49

Sorry for late reply ujayyi ,in answer to your question re teen babysitting, we have left from 14 is I would say.
We have 4 DC with quite large gaps between 1 and 2 and 3 and 4, middle two are closest in age.
so there has been a teenager around in our house forever,or so it seemsGrin
Third DC now 16 and doing own thing a bit more, second is at university and eldest has own home a day about to marry.
So unfortunately DC 4 on her own with us a lot.

shopafrolic · 14/02/2015 19:19

A bottle of Bollinger and a copy of Porter magazine for me from DH. I'm impressed as I've never mentioned Porter to him :)

Oh now I want a toasted hot cross bun Grin off to raid kitchen

I have just blatantly copied Dry and ordered her silver shoes in coral. I have justified it as I have decided to return Cos cardigan. I have tried it with everything and the colour is great but I have realised that for some reason I look better in more heavyweight or structured cardigans. I can do a fine knit sweater but struggle with fine knit cardigans - I wonder why that is???

libertychick · 14/02/2015 20:33

Forgot to say earlier that i love those Adidas Superstars and you will look great in them Shop. I detest banner advertising too, especially as you say when you have already bought the damn things cookies, not so clever eh

Drywhiteplease · 14/02/2015 20:33

Not big on valentines here either.....do stuff at other times.

Fish knives bought by mil big hit. 1 nil to Dry Grin

No point asking DH opinion on anything clothes wise, no clue and thinks I look nice in everything bless.....puke

georgina or whoever was asking, I left mine when my oldest was 14.....it was a huge water shed. The problem is they then get their own social life Hmm

Mara DFIL has brought his Church's house shoes .......Grin

Drywhiteplease · 14/02/2015 20:35

Yey liberty I have wide feet and they seem comfortable. Saw the coral but I need red.

shopafrolic · 14/02/2015 20:39

Pleased you said about the Superstars Lib. I was worried thatthe Voguettes all thought I was mental!

OneLittleLady · 14/02/2015 20:41

cute shoes lib

i ask Dp how I look but he's always....non commital. he will say i look nice if i outright ask him if i do but otherwise passes little to no comment. i don't know quite how i feel about it tbh Hmm

Drywhiteplease · 14/02/2015 21:13

No shop I love them!!!!!!!

shopafrolic · 14/02/2015 21:16

Evening all. Survived the journey up here just.

shop I can't open your superstar link as the broadband is a bit slow but I'll try again.
lib the skirts look really good for you.

Those of you leaving your eldest in charge do you have to pay them? My eldest (9yo) is so money orientated that I can't imagine her looking after the younger ones for free!

Interesting about the boobs thing as mine have also been changed by dc/pregnancy/breastfeeding yet weirdly these don't really bother me. I guess we all have weird body hang ups and different things bother us.

amber are you sure you need Botox? Having seen you I don't think you need it.

Drywhiteplease · 14/02/2015 21:34

I don't pay, it's part of our family life. I only pay if we have friends' children staying too.

shop I've had loads of radio silences but just figure people missed the link or ignore and keep anyway if I like it Smile

Ujjayi · 14/02/2015 21:38

Ok. I am slightly pished. There was at least 3 bottles of fizz and only a v small beef kofta salad...am in training for MNV meet up... I left for lunch at 1250 (in the R&B knee highs) and returned 20 minutes ago at 9pm-ish. Our respective DH's came to escort us home meet us for drinks at 7pm. I fear the prosecco may take days to leave my bloodstream...and eldest DS babysat for first time ever!! We were local and therefore within running distance of home so excellent babysitting trial run with all intact on our arrival home.

santamarianovella · 14/02/2015 21:43

shop if they make you happy Wink,

Ujjayi · 14/02/2015 21:44

Queen - I'm not bothered by diminished boobs either. I quite like that they can be "there" courtesy of Wonderbra or "not there" courtesy of Mother Nature Grin

We do not intend to pay eldest DC to babysit...we see it as part & parcel of family life ie I don't charge him for Mama Taxi to/from ballet, drama, scouts, friends house. Will probably change when he he is older.

santamarianovella · 14/02/2015 21:44

Just kidding Grin, they are fab!

Radio silence doesn't = sh$t purchase in My book, sometimes its really hard to keep up!

Topazandpearl · 14/02/2015 21:55

Ours were too close in age for elder to 'babysit', but we did have a almost 15 14 year old babysitter when ours were 6 and 8, but she was a neighbour so her DM was on-hand if needed. And at that time, 14 year olds seemed terribly grow-up! We didn't have any problems. It got more difficult when DC started feeling 'too grown-up' for a babysitter but we weren't happy to leave them.
Leaving them overnight for the first time was scary! (DD cut her finger slicing cheese and I had to get DS to describe the cut very accurately by phone so I could decide if she needed to go to A&E or not. It turned out to be a very minor cut)

GeorginaWorsley · 14/02/2015 22:20

Yes I agree from 16 ish parties and part time jobs adversely affect babysitting availability!
DC4 joined us for our Marks dine in Valentines mealGrin
