Just that really. I've noticed them creeping into shops. Would you where them? Could a 31 year old get away with it? They look so comfy! My toddler wears them so well..hmm...(ponders)

I wear my freddies of pinewood dungarees a lot.

Violetta007 · 10/02/2015 07:02

I've seen them on a few and think they suit teens

honeylou42 · 10/02/2015 07:05

Ooh no , just the thing for pregnant ladies and toddler's Grin

Violetta007 · 10/02/2015 07:09

Yes they are like rompa suits in many ways Grin

Lweji · 10/02/2015 07:21

I'm sure you can get away with it, if you are quite funky, but I wouldn't wear them unless I was gardening or something. Or was 15 again.

InQuiteAPickle · 10/02/2015 07:22

They remind me of the early 90s.

Lweji · 10/02/2015 07:28

I think you mean the 80s. :)

Becles · 10/02/2015 07:29

Unless you have intimate and unrestricted access to a combine harvester, take two large steps back and walk the other way.

TheChickenSituation · 10/02/2015 07:31

Unless they are basically a tres chic jumpsuit, I am thinking no.

VixxFace · 10/02/2015 07:45

never.

temperamentalamongcorvids · 10/02/2015 07:52

Unacceptable on anyone over 16 years old. They come around every few years and it's always the same.

SirChenjin · 10/02/2015 07:55

No no no. Teens can just about get away with wearing them, but generally speaking they are better left to young children.

wigfieldrocks · 10/02/2015 07:58

No they will never look stylish in anyway.. Even if every fashion blogger in the world says they will they will not. Any adult wearing them will just look like a fashion victim. Pretty much like brightly patterned leggings and shell suits of the early 90's.

Greengardenpixie · 10/02/2015 08:18

If you are funky with them yes yes yes!

avocadotoast · 10/02/2015 08:23

I really like them. And pinafore dresses. I'm too short to ever get any that fit properly though Sad

MrsMarigold · 10/02/2015 08:29

I saw this seriously glam pregnant woman last week in dungarees, a fur coat and red lipstick she looked great but it's a hard look to pull off. I thought they had a brief moment about two years ago when Alexa Chung was spotted in them.

mummybare · 10/02/2015 08:31

My husband's aunt (I'm guessing late 50s) wore some at Christmas and they looked great. She is one of those effortlessly chic women, though, who looks great in everything, so I offer this anecdote with disclaimers!

TheChickenSituation · 10/02/2015 08:32

What are we talking about here ........ not ... denim.....?! Shock

AJNH · 10/02/2015 08:34

Should only be worn by children! I can't even imagine an adult wearing them Hmm

BigPawsBrown · 10/02/2015 08:35

I wore a pair of denim dungarees (like cut of shorts) on holiday and to a festival, with one of the clips undone. It was ok but it was 28 then and almost 30 now, so feeling it less...

TheChickenSituation · 10/02/2015 08:46

My DH notoriously wore a pair of dungarees to a festival in the 90s. He has never lived it down. Even people who weren't there, and didn't know him at time, take the total piss reminisce about it to this day.

They're a controversial garment, there's no denying it.

MythicalKings · 10/02/2015 08:47

Wore jump suits and dungarees in the 60s. Not my finest or most stylish time.

mummybare · 10/02/2015 08:49

Yes, Chicken, denim! I'm not sure how she pulled it off; I remember thinking that I would look dreadful in them, but I pro you, she looked fab. She is a very neat person, though. My style is a bit more dishevelled laid back, so I'd probably look like a member of Hayseed Dixie in them...

mummybare · 10/02/2015 08:49

*promise

TheChickenSituation · 10/02/2015 08:51

It's a very fine line!
