Just that really. I've noticed them creeping into shops. Would you where them? Could a 31 year old get away with it? They look so comfy! My toddler wears them so well..hmm...(ponders)

They're never more than a 5 minute wonder.

Ditto anything else that makes it harder to go to the loo.

Juno321 · 10/02/2015 12:38

Never, under any circumstances!! Children and babies only

FauxFox · 10/02/2015 12:43

NAP has them...I quite like the Stella M ones in the top row, I think it's the defined waist that makes the difference. The others all look dreadfully unflattering even on the models...the lace one! My eyes!! Shock

atticusclaw · 10/02/2015 12:43

Only when decorating. Otherwise not past the age of five.

KatyPeary · 10/02/2015 13:01

Awful. Especially on pregnant women. God they're vicious. Just about passable on toddlers.

Greengardenpixie · 10/02/2015 13:03

I agree with the post below. Not sure why there is such a fuss about them. All the fashion comes and goes with little tweaks. Many things come back. skinnies were drainpipes at one point. Flares are back but noone would dream of wearing them like they did in the 70's. Likewise jumpsuits. Many people wear them. So whats the issue with dungaree? They are nothing like the 80's. I wore them then and they were horrendous. I have a pair now and woul never fashion thrm the way i did then - a fundimental difference and they are stylish worn with a simple tee. Really dont get the hate. I think they can look good. Oh and for the record, I remeber tight leather trousers many times over. Nobody thinks twice about how they looked years ago. After sll Olivia Newton John wore them. Are people going to style them like she did in grease? come on.

Has anyone mentioned Daphne from Neighbours yet?

ProfessorProfessorson · 10/02/2015 13:14

I love them and always stand up for them on these threads, which come around again and again here on S&B Grin

Mine don't fit me any more though Sad so everyone's eyes will be spared the horror this year unless I get off my arse and lose weight

I had a beautiful navy cord pair when I was 21 and slim and gorgeous and doing factory work. I still mourn them, you can't seem to get anything like them here (that was in Canada).

dexter73 · 10/02/2015 13:17

Really dont get the hate.

Think of an item of clothing that you really don't like and would never wear. It's like that!

Suprisingly not! I wonder if Daphne had poppers on hers like babies and toddlers do? Maybe that's why she was able to give birth to Jamie without taking them off!

InQuiteAPickle · 10/02/2015 14:20

Michelle Keegan looks amazing in dungarees. Envy

Although tbf she'd look amazing in a potato sack. bitch

MadderPink · 10/02/2015 14:24

I think they are one of those things the stunningly beautiful and confident can carry off, but everyone else just looks like a car mechanic.

Svelte models with fab hair look good in them while striking a pose (as in the pics below) so people think maybe it will work.

I'm tall with short hair, I know they will make me look like a man and yet I look at those pics and think "oh those dungarees look great!" Confused

I loved bananarama, sadly I couldn't emulate them even then much less now Grin
