Is this dress too young for me?

I am post-first DC. I have lost most of my baby weight (have a little bit around the tummy still.) Tomorrow night I'm going on my first night out with my DH and a group of our friends since baby was born. I bought quite a revealing dress from boohoo.com www.boohoo.com/joy-plunge-neck-strappy-bodycon-dress/invt/azz14514 because I wanted to look nice and sexy for DH. Only trouble is, I feel old in it. I can't tell if I LOOK old in it (as in it's not age appropriate) or whether it's just cheap and doesn't look classy on anyone. I'm 31 years old, 5''8 and weigh 64kg. So I'm tall and slim and I have the boobs for the plunge neck as I'm breast feeding (34D). There are no lumps and bumps sticking out, but it just looks wrong.

Do you think this is a dress for teens and twenty-somethings only?

I'm sure she will be if she wears that dress. (I fully understood the occasion BTW!)

Too try hard. You can exude confidence and class covering your whole body.

Nah, horrible and tacky sorry, have a lovely night out tho', just not in that frock. :) I love the word frock, it's so odd.

I'm going to go against everyone else... I think if you are going clubbing and to some bars then it's fine. Honestly. I live near Norwich and on a Friday or Saturday night that's the sort of thing most people are wearing. You could get a lovely little shawl type thing to wear over your shoulders and some classy strappy sandals to go with it... obviously if you're going to wear 6 ins patent platforms heels that might look too much.

I think clearly it depends on where you're going... If it's for a posh meal then no. But for clubbing and going to bars then it's absolutely fine.

I think it's awful, sorry and to be honest the photo looks sort of fake? Like a computer image almost..

iloveshortshorts · 06/02/2015 18:58

op I think the dress is fine, but in my experience with boohoo dresses the material they use is quite cheap. They look different to the pictures than when you actually have the dress on.

I am curious to know, where is the OP?? Did she decide to wear it???? Please let us know!

The asos suggestions from eyeliner are really lovely. Figure hugging yet classy

So, did you wear it?

TiggyD · 07/02/2015 23:45

People will be able to see your vest.

Avoid unless you get mistaken for a model all the time.
