Which BB cream....

..... for a dewy & illuminated finish? I've never used one before. I've spent the last half an hour in Boots & now I'm more confused than I was before. Confused

High street brands preferably please.

I have used the Revlon photo ready one for ages, which I really like but I don't find it lasts all day. Really illuminating but not so much when I look in the mirror a few hours later!
I've also tried the Maybelline one which I didn't like at all, but I find all their makeup a bit heavy.
I have recently just bought the Elizabeth Arden bb cream after someone with amazing looking skin recommended it to me and so far so good. It is about £20 though (!)
I have combination skin by the way.

Borjois cc cream...rated very highly by Lisa Eldridge and the likes...

MummysLittleSunbeams · 09/12/2014 14:57

Thanks, will look at both tomorrow. I just found all the creams I looked at today too matt for my taste.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of matte either, I would just get a powder if I was! I like the dewy look :)

Leviticus · 09/12/2014 19:51

Botanics. Always raved about on here for very good reason. About £9 from Boots, lasts forever.

Scoopmuckdizzy · 09/12/2014 19:53

Another Botanics fan here Smile

MrsSkinnyLegs · 09/12/2014 20:03

Laura Mercier illuminating tinted moisturiser. Not cheap but lasts ages, feels superlight and looks amazing!

Hoppinggreen · 09/12/2014 21:09

Mil bought me the YSL one for my birthday and it's brilliant

MummysLittleSunbeams · 10/12/2014 06:55

I actually looked for that Botanics stuff yesterday after reading about it on here but couldn't find it so assumed it had been discontinued. Will look again today.

Thanks everyone! I'll come back& let you know what I bought Smile

l'Oreal ticks all the right boxes for me.

Leviticus · 10/12/2014 07:27

It's with the Botanics stuff in skincare rather than in makeup.

MummysLittleSunbeams · 10/12/2014 07:49

Thank you Leviticus. Wink

Has anyone tried the Avène one? At least I think it's them I was wanting to try out.

burnishedsilver · 10/12/2014 09:48

Olay CC cream is very nice.

leedy · 10/12/2014 10:31

Bourjois CC is lovely, might give the Botanics a go.

Best thing I've found in that line is unfortunately not high street (either mail order from Sephora or get someone to buy it for you in the US), it's from a brand called Boscia and it actually does all the things that BBs claim to do. If you look at it very closely when you squirt it out it seems to have little sparkles in it but when it's on you can't see them, just a sort of healthy glow.

nottheOP · 10/12/2014 13:42

Dr Jart

Parka · 10/12/2014 13:46

I've tried a few but Clinique CC cream is the only one I've bought more than once - good coverage and not too matt.

po1nsettia · 10/12/2014 15:11

I've been using the Superdrug B range one, BB Cream in Light for a while. It is really dewy and I've been very impressed with it! Think it's a relatively new range, its white with a red B on it. Hth!

JessieMcJessie · 10/12/2014 15:24

I get on very well with the Bobbi Brown one, not high street but it does last along time. Haven't used foundation for a year since I discovered it.

MissRee · 10/12/2014 15:29

The Younique BB cream is really, really good. If you need information on how to order, please drop me a PM!

minipie · 10/12/2014 15:33

I found the Botanics one much too oily.

The Loreal one is glowy but I found it makes me break out.

I'm using the Vichy Idealia one at the moment and like it, it definitely has a sheen to it but not too much.

KateBuryUK · 10/12/2014 15:37

What is BB cream? I have used Clinique dramatically different moisturiser for 30 years and their foundation. different shade for summer or winter. Lately i also use their repair wear moisturiser at night. Expensive but it suits me.

I found the Botanics one too heavy and too orange as I am quite pale.

LoveVintage · 10/12/2014 16:19

I would prefer one with a matte finish, can anyone recommend one?
