Sounds like a great night out CV! I'm afraid I do that old lady peering over the reading glasses, and the on-off-on-off…"where's my effing glasses" routine. It's the pits but I'm too vain to wear specs all the time hence no varifocals (yet…it's only a matter of time).
MI the worst thing with my two is that they don't actually know they're hungry and I sometimes have the devils own job to get them to eat something…God knows how one would manage it in class. Well done for coping with the perishing church. Clearly you deserved your drinkies after wards.
Linking arms will all footie- hating Ds's mothers. DS1 wasn't like that at all. I wouldn't have said football was his sport…he's more athletics/swimming/basketball, but he played enough playground football to keep him in with the crowd. DS2 was so lonely after the genders polarised, around year 3 and the girls didn't want to know him anymore either. Thank heavens for his secondary school. It's so bloody huge (however weird you are, there's a friend out there for you somewhere) and they're so hot on bullying of any kind that he really found his niche. My niece who has just joined in year 7 has mild Aspergers, and my DSisIL was so worried about her…but I saw her at the music concert on Wed night on 'microphone duty' having a ball because she felt included, in a little group of others doing the tech support.
But I also agree with tilly …whatever the masses are doing leaves you out if you don't like it, or there aren't others like you.
Reeling at Cremo's 14 events!!! and wishing you strength.

and hugs to Stropps today.
wilbur I love what you describe about the yr 7 choir your DD sings in…I love seeing all sorts brought together though the love of singing!
Thanks all for the lovely comments about DS2's piano. He's on a bit of a high. It's great to see.
I am now rushing like a maniac to get Fri night dinner sorted early…at 4pm we have our first "reading" of my play. I am shaking like a leaf…
but very excited too.
