I love Christmas dinner, MI, and even better this year now DSoniL is cooking it.

My mind is a complete blank both for me and what to get DH. I am almost out of perfume, but can't get excited about that. DDiL asked for suggestions yesterday for both of us and I told her how much we have enjoyed things like the afternoon tea and a year's pass to Beamish which they have given us before.

bigTillyMint · 08/12/2014 20:20

Cremo, what will you be doing with the threads? Machine embroidery to go with the cushion inners?

bigTillyMint · 08/12/2014 20:24

We love Christmas dinner here. Partly because I don't often do a roast and DH likes a bit of legWink

Talking of perfume, the atomiser spray bit on my bottle is stuck in the cap rendering the 5/6ths full bottle useless. Any suggestions perfume experts?!

cremolafoam · 08/12/2014 20:25

We are redoing the living room, including putting in bifold doors and knocking through the living room and kitchen. I will be creating cushions to go with the new scheme. All our current cushions look a bit limp.
( sad cushions)

MontserratCaballe · 08/12/2014 20:37

Btm, you need a travalo handbag perfume dispenser. I am on phone so can't link but will do it when I am in laptop. Basically it's a way of decanting your perfume and carrying it around cheaply. I've got several for different perfume and I love them!

bigTillyMint · 08/12/2014 20:39

That sounds fab and very creativeEnvy

I should encourage DD to use her talents to create me some fab cushions. Maybe in the summer when she is not working/revising.

Blackduck · 08/12/2014 20:44

I want l'occitane too MI. I am getting a laundry hanger (Victorian ceiling number) and have told Dp to buy me something from new shop in town - opened by friends - furniture and things....

Crepeyistmas Time, Camel Toe and Whine?

Chanucrepes?

CointreauVersial · 08/12/2014 22:29

BD - is it a Sheila Maid you are after? I'd love one.... if only we had high Victorian ceilings.

BTM - those flights do sound pricey, but I really am ignorant of such things. I am a skinflint when it comes to holidays.

Anyway, bathroom decorating has commenced; DD1 and I did the mistcoat this afternoon after work, even though I was cold, grumpy, tired, and could think of nothing I wanted to do less. I am now delicately spattered with white emulsion (and still grumpy) .

Off to doc's tomorrow with DD1, who has had a big flare-up of eczema on her face. I don't dare to use the steroid cream around her eyes and lips, so will see what he suggests. Of course, it took a week to get an appointment and it is nearly better, but at least we will be armed for the next occasion.

(doing my best to fill up thread there...)

MontserratCaballe · 08/12/2014 22:30

MrsS, I am CRYING over camel toe and whine. That is genius. Can we have that one please?

DS now just warm, but DD2 red hot. Looks like another day of being home with the sicknotes beckons.

beachyhead · 08/12/2014 22:56

Camel toe and whine, please!!!

CV, my dd1 had a massive flare up about two years ago and we took her off wheat for two weeks and it went down. Very strange... Could have been entirely unrelated and I'm really not very woo, but it did the trick.
