Shyster, I always thought..... I'm just recovering from the Rocky Horror Show party. Dh made a fantastic Frank N Furter, but we were both feeling a little overhung this morning. Lovely to catch up with all our old Sarf London friends, even though we were all wildly dressed.

Dd1 has been driving around all day Grin. " I'm just popping out to pick that up" or "I'll go and collect dd2". It's really great to see.

I've got my SS. So exciting. What's the despatch date?

Blackduck · 22/11/2014 20:40

You are two thirds of the way through stropps

cremolafoam · 22/11/2014 21:04

Yes , shysters, I have know a few.Wink

God help us, dh is in a velvet jacket and looking lively.

Beachy , that's great about dd whizzing about for her sibling. Lol.
Dd showed a total lack of talent at driving. I didn't push it in the end.
Probably a good thing for the rest of the motoring public. And the insurance sheesh. Of course it's twice the cost in NI because of The legacy of The Troubles. < rolls eyes >

MrsSchadenfreude · 22/11/2014 21:53

BD - Grin Just had some more salted caramel brownie. Om nom nom.

I have my SS.

QueenQueenie · 23/11/2014 00:40

Crem, hope you're getting on down in the club and living it large..
Dh and I are just back from a birthday ceilidh in deepest south London - which was suprisingly brilliant fun albeit vexingly HOT.

VERY excited about my SS... .

I think my over enthusiastic use of capitals probably means I had one glass of prosecco too many.

Until tomorrow lovely crepeys...

Rosebag · 23/11/2014 07:44

Thanks for doing all the SS admin rudy and when you're ill too. As a Secret Santa Virgin can I ask a silly naïve question. Do send the gift anonymously? Hope you're feeling better very soon Brew
Looking forward to hearing more about beachy and cremo's partying respectively and seeing the evidence on fb. My life feels so dull in comparison.
Good luck to student crepeys with their assignments for next week.

hattymattie · 23/11/2014 07:55

I can't despatch my SS till next Monday as I'm going somewhere on Saturday where I reckon I can feel and something nice. Mine won't be very secret though as it'll have a French postmark!

hattymattie · 23/11/2014 07:58

Crem - dying to know how the clubbing went although not sure you'll be up for a while yet.

Here, it is glorious - DH is going for a jog and I'm going to forage for food in town.

Mrs S - I want the recipe for that FB dish (and the salted brownies).

Yes Rose, the answer is in the word "SECRET"GrinGrinGrin
This is a standing joke at work, where one of my colleagues always asks if you like her gift, people swap to get the person they want to buy a present for and people don't keep a poker face when opening their parcel!

Yes all you party/club goers we want photos!

I had to get up after about 5 hours sleep to drop DD to go off paintballing. The forecast is for rain all day. Am having a strong coffee and trying to wake up for my trip to the IH Christmas Show!

bigTillyMint · 23/11/2014 08:19

Rudy, football cancelled? You're 'avin a larf! Hope you don't have to go and watch though. Keep wondering if your DS(s) play for the academy my DS is trialling for?

CointreauVersial · 23/11/2014 08:59

We are also waiting to hear if footy cancelled. We dragged DS home from a party last night, because he always plays badly if he sleeps over the night before. He grumbled all the way home.

We have my DNs staying over (13yo twins). We all went to see the new Hunger Games film last night, which was good, but I do hate those "Part 1" films which leave you hanging for a year until the next one comes out. On the way back, we were a bit early to collect DS so ended up in a Cafe Rouge drinking hot chocolate at 10.30pm - nightlife options being somewhat limited when you have four tweens and teens with you. No clubs for me, oh no. Envy

Sooo, SS is £5 limit, yes? Are we posting or bringing to meetup?

Yay, footy cancelled. Tea and papers in bed. Smile DS will now be grumbling we should have let him stay.

Blackduck · 23/11/2014 09:09

Rudy hope you feel better soon. I am still feeling knackered but might try the magnesium supplement idea.

I will plod into town today looking for my SS as I fear if I don't do it whilst it's in the forefront of my mind I will simply forget to do it, not on top of things you see.....

Glad Ds has no desire to play foot, in the rain or otherwise.....

However must send home his sleepover pal so he can get on with piano practise and geography homework.......

herbaceous · 23/11/2014 10:17

Are we allowed to be ultra lazy and order something online to be delivered to our SS recipient? With a suitable message?

DP has just taken DS, in the pouring rain, to the London Transport Museum and various birthday present shops to allow me to get on with my assignment. So, cracking on shall be done. Anyone sees me lurking on mumsnet is permitted to give me a thorough tasering.

QueenQueenie · 23/11/2014 10:43

You've given yourself away there Herbs... we won't easily be able to see you lurking... as long as you can restrain yourself from posting. Head down woman!

How are you doing Crem? Grin

hattymattie · 23/11/2014 11:15

....still no CremGrin

herbaceous · 23/11/2014 11:34

CointreauVersial · 23/11/2014 12:48

Argggghhhh....just had text from builder, and he can squeeze the wall repair in.....hooray!......on Tuesday....nooooo! This is the day the Karndean flooring is going down.....after prolonged begging and cajoling of the flooring company to fit us in......I am just hoping the builder can get things done in a couple of hours and the flooring company will agree to a late start. I feel like crying.

MontserratCaballe · 23/11/2014 13:46

I am NEVER drinking again.

NUFC69 · 23/11/2014 14:13

Glorious sunshine up here now, although cloudy earlier. I am so sorry for all you Crepeys who are having to miss football - what a bummer. Grin

I have received my SS, too. Thanks for doing all the hard work, Rudy. Hatty, I guess I will have the same problem with the post - no London frank for me.

I will post my Brownie Cake recipe tomorrow as I need to get it out and type it and I haven't got the time atm.

DH is using DD's Vax to clean the carpets and I am sorting out the bedding, etc., for the new beds which are coming on Tuesday. DH went searching in the top of the built in wardrobes (in reality a mini junk room) and found all sorts of things,

including the DC's shawls and the cards we received when they were born. It was quite sad because several people had died. Sad

Last night's Chinese meal was excellent and it was good to see our friends again. He had a kidney transplant a few years ago - and this year has had a toe amputated and a melanoma removed from his face. He is several years younger than us, too. Shock
