Had secret botox this morning

So. This morning without anyone else knowing where I was I was having botox.

Mentioned it ages ago to a good friend and was met with her saying I was crazy etc. So just thought it better not to tell anyone in real life...

Feels a bit strange and having no one to talk to about it.

If anyone wants to be my botox buddy?

Are 11 lines considered one area of treatment or two?

Hippychickster · 26/10/2014 15:45

One I think. I had two because my forehead is lined and the nurse said if I only had that done then I could get a heavy brow as the muscle at the top of my nose (which is the one I assume would be for 11s) wouldn't be strong enough to hold the rest up so I had 5 injections in that area and then 7 in my forehead.

So going on that, I would say it would be one area. But I'm not a nurse!!!

Babybarrister, for London central I can recommend Dr.Ameer Khan at The Harley Street Clinic. He has a web page which gives contact details.

And he's absolutely lovely, got to be a bonusWink

Hippychickster thanks for that. I have been wanting to go for ages but not heard of anywhere locally. Leicester would be do able for me.

I think the lying down thing is a bit of a myth tbh..

Your photos look ace!

JustLikeHeaven · 02/11/2014 10:16

I'm also in the secret club. Have been having secret botox for a year now. I'm wondering how long yours lasts? I had my last one done at the end of august of its already nearly all worn off. Is this the norm? He did say some people break it down faster than others. . But it's very expensive for the time I'm getting out of it. He's a reputable dermatologist.

Hippychickster · 02/11/2014 10:16

Actually looking at the pictures I can hardly believe how good it looks!! You don't really notice when you see yourself everyday!

JustLikeHeaven · 02/11/2014 10:17

And hippychick. . Wow. . Looks great

madsadbad · 02/11/2014 10:24

Hippychick That's amazing! I have been going back and forth over the pics for a few mins looking like this Shock

Hippychickster · 02/11/2014 10:27

I know!!!! So have I - and it's my head!!!

To be fair, in real life it actually looks better because it does look natural. When I lift my eyebrows I still get lines so it's not totally smooth and unnatural.

Hippychickster · 02/11/2014 10:29

Just Like Heaven I don't know yet, this is the first time I've had it. I'm hoping it will last at least till after Christmas.

Browtox · 02/11/2014 10:49

It def lasts longer each time. I had mine done beg June and now it's needing more mid nov

christmashope · 03/11/2014 14:54

I'm 35 I have had 2 lots of botox this year and once I had fillers. All done in secret!
Botox was for my crows feet at the side of my eyes and fillers were underneath my eyes almost at the top of my cheeks this was for my dark circles/tired looking eyes.
I'm delighted with both.
No one has noticed I just think it makes me look fresher.
I did have a bruise both times at the side of the same eye

flux500 · 03/11/2014 15:34

Hi everyone I was surprised to see my thread active again lol.

You've all bee busy! Hippy that brilliant :)

I must admit I'm dreading mine wearing off. I asked the woman and she said I had to let it wear off for a week and do lots of frowning before having it again - is this right! I don't fancy having even a week of wrinkles!

Update : I had a Spock brow on the right hand side so she gave me some in there and all is well. It's strange I've noticed strangers seem to think I'm younger now and I notice more young guys giving me the look than before.

I'm actually starting to consider lip filler but it's so expensive and what if I get it and after it wears off my
Lips look crapper than they already did? Confused

christmashope · 03/11/2014 15:42

I say go for it! I was put off getting filler cause of the cost but it's the best money that I have spent and she said the type I got will last between 12-18 months

Browtox · 03/11/2014 17:03

I book my next appointment for two weeks after when I see wrinkles reappearing , not by my eyes as they come first but my brows.
Also when make up seems to not sit right. It's aboit 4-5 months. For me I have to allow 10 days for it to work too.

emmarowlands · 16/05/2015 01:46

I am also in in the Botox club- had it first time last month at age of 40. Brill ain't so far! Only told 2 friends so far, 1 of which was having it anyway herself!
