super dry jacket for ds -help please!

The only way I'll get teen ds to wear a coat this winter is if it has a over priced super dry logo on it

I'm looking at the website at the Arctic wind trekker and the wind trekker. Is the Arctic one REALLY toasty as he won't like that, he's more of a light jacket boy but it does need to be slightly water repellent and see him through the winter so perhaps the wind trekker?

Anyone have a ds with one?
He's going halves with me btw,I can't bring myself to spend that much on a winter coat

Oh yes it's not excellent quality or anything but it does tend to last fairly well for the price. I look at it as value for school cred, for the most part :-)

Is he happy?

Yeah,I can see it'll wash ok which is a bonus and ds is sitting on the sofa in shorts and a t shirt plus his jacket and all the millions of zips done up to his chin he's delighted with it

Actually the jacket is good value for money compared to their hoodies,I just can't get my head round nearly 60 quid for one of them.

Oh and we'll get 2 years out of it so I'm happy to pay the full price. I say it's not good quality but it's not a rag that will fall apart in 5 mins.

I think they're quite good value. £65 and last two years. One of ds1's is now on it's 4th child and only issue is holes inside the pockets and one of the zip pulls has broken. It's done ds1, ds2, ds2's mate from rugby and now his brother!

The zip had just broken. Ffs I've just packed it up again ready for an exchange.

I posted it back on Sunday and they refunded my account for the larger I've I ordered and have sent out a new one in medium. Quite impressed with how fast that was processed, let's hope the zip is ok on this new one!

My DD was hankering after the fleece lined on (black with lairy pink) but as she wears a blazer , I convinced her to get the mesh lined.
It's warm and windproof (and waterproof)
I was at the £75 pricetag but grudgingly, it is well made so good value. And yes, she is swayed by labels.

New one just arrived,I think the other one was a duff one as the sizing was completely different to this medium

Anyway, he's gone for a long walk with his Dad in the rain to try it out and forecast looks shit next week so looks like it arrived just in time!
