Me too MrsS - that's enough fun for quite a while! That was a really lovely evening, thank you Crem. I thought the place was great, despite their insistence that we, ahem, leave.

Blackduck · 12/10/2014 07:00

Oh and MI said I'd lost weight so she's my new bestest friend Grin

Hope everyone got home safe - uneventful journey here. Now up and ready for trip back home.

Lovely class of fellow traveller there Rudy!

hattymattie · 12/10/2014 09:34

Rudy - is that the local line too Cambridge which stops at small unheard of villages. I got this with DD last year in the absence of a direct and there were some very strange folk on board. So much so that I told DD to get only direct trains if she was by herself.

Morning crepolas. Got a lovely lie in until 9.15. Mmmmm. Needed it, mind you - had some kind of digestive disturbance in the middle of the night - must have been all that I'll advised wheat. I always think 'oh for goodness sake, you'll be fine', then it all goes wrong.

hattymattie · 12/10/2014 10:43

Yes Rudy - it was Liv Street one Sunday afternoon (of all times) when the KX line was shut for engineering work.

Waiting for Rowdy FB pictures of last night.

cremolafoam · 12/10/2014 11:20

Morning crepeys,
Got home in no time in a cab last night. Was much closer than I thought. No sign of the boys last night or this morning , so have been lounging about in pyjamas like a lazy cat. No salacious gossip yetGrin wonder if they'll turn up at all:0/
Gosh thanks for the thanks everyone. Have to say I was a bit anxious about it, but it was quite nice wasn't it. Amazing what you can do with google earth and a few websites.

Now what shall I do today?Wink

bigTillyMint · 12/10/2014 12:21

Hatty, sorry to disappoint you but no pictures were taken last night AFAIK! We were too busy eating and drinking and chatting! - Cremo you are a starFlowers Hope your back isn't too bad today.

Stropps and I just went for a lovely breakfast in a local café and she has trekked off on the mammoth journey back home with her homework at the ready! Today I am relaxing!

Rosebag · 12/10/2014 12:57

Just checking in quickly between dealing with the fall out from not only being away but being on the tiles on my return. Thank you, crem for organising. It was a true pleasure to finally meet ( lovely split infinitive there) such an intelligent , attractive and caring group of women and mothers. Awesome!

Stropperella · 12/10/2014 12:59

Top night! Lovely to see everybody and thank you very much for organising, Crem. I didn't quite manage to talk to everyone, despite my best efforts. Btw, any crepeys doing university visits (or indeed any other sort of visits) in the West Country, do feel free to drop in chez moi.
I have a query which I meant to put to you urban people last night: if you were a 19 yr old Austrian studying fashion and media and wanted to do an internship in the UK (or possibly just a bit of temping), how would you go about it? Any agency recommendations??

cremolafoam · 12/10/2014 13:00

Likewise Rose. Smile

I am car booting in pimlico. It's a bit
"Come buy my crap! "
Have met some lovely Swedish ladies and had coffee with them talking about Wallander.Grin

bigTillyMint · 12/10/2014 13:13

Car booting in Pimlico - you selling or buying?

Have just had (yet another) very confusing phone conversation with my DM. It appears that her gas has been turned off (she was convinced they had turned the electrics off too, but then told me she was watching TV, cooking in the microwave and heating water in the kettle and the lights work) by British Gas? I think they have changed her meter and there's some issue with it showing high gas usage? So her usual gas place (who did her boiler, etc) are coming back tomorrow to have a look but might have to check pipes, etc??? Must remember to call and check tomorrow that she is OK as she sounded very perturbed by the whole thingConfused

bigTillyMint · 12/10/2014 13:22

Rudy, your journey home sounds most interesting. And I think I want your DH!

Blackduck · 12/10/2014 16:12

Yes to add to the uni thing any one doing the Midlands (although we are not very central) let me know and if it's Warwick or Aston or Birmingham or Nottingham I am in a position to dish the dirt :)

NUFC69 · 12/10/2014 16:33

And let me add Newcastle, Northumbria or Durham to the uni list, always happy to help.

I have had an energetic day: DD and I took 3 yo swimming this morning (I did manage 6 lengths in addition to cheer leading DGS), came home to discover that I had locked DH out of the house for nearly an hour Angry and then my dayglo orange winter lycra got an airing. It's been glorious here all day and we sat on the Quayside at lunchtime eating Ryvita and cheese.

It sounds as if you had a great time last night.

QueenQueenie · 12/10/2014 17:38

Howdy Crepesters,
Lovely to see everyone who could make it last night.
Please add my thanks for organising us to the list Crem!
Think one less glass of red wine would have been a good idea on my part..

Great to meet some people for the first time - Rosebag and Molly - although as always never quite enough time to talk with everyone as much as I'd have liked.

Yes to a pre Christmas drink meet up.

Ach you guys!Blush

Just browsing BTM . Bought nothing !
Off to see gone girl with friend tonight.
Hated the book but can't find much else......

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/10/2014 19:14

I am having my Sunday night two hours where I have the place to myself. It is bliss. Unfortunately I am spending it tidying up the kitchen. Have made pumpkin pie today, plus a loaf of Nice Bread, and just started to make my mincemeat, so the place smells like Christmas.

lalsy · 12/10/2014 19:19

I hated the book Gone Girl so much I broke into sedate trot to get it into Oxfam! Hope you got the lowdown today Crem. And MrsS, mmmm.

bigTillyMint · 12/10/2014 19:35

Friends are wanting to see Gone Girl, but it really doesn't appeal. Might join them if they go for a drink first!

I have had a relaxing day, coughing and Valsalvaring!
