Opinions please, crepeys. Does this Háifoss coat look Scandi chic, and the ideal multi-season raincoat, or frump central?

I've seen it for sale for £99...

lalsy · 11/10/2014 15:10

Is it the top one Herbs? I really like it [but I have spent the morning in town going Pah! while reading labels on shower-resistant and water-repellent coats. And am hardly a style guru]

herbaceous · 11/10/2014 15:20

It's the one that comes in grey, maroon or white, and has a double row of poppers.

cremolafoam · 11/10/2014 15:22

I like it Herbs, but not sure of the colour. I expect you've looked at Ilse Jacobson already , but I like mine. I ended up giving it to dd for college.
What was I thinking. However got a terrific Paul Costello replacement in TKMaxx. Might be worth a look in there ?
Also Avoca have good ones this season.

Hags , I am not dressing up tonight .Was going to bring a boden frock, but forgot to pack it. Hope others are in 'come as you are' modeConfused

herbaceous · 11/10/2014 15:37

But a raincoat HAS to be grey, crem. It's the rule. Black is too sombre, red too Hailey from Corrie, and purple too zany.

I do like the Isle Jacobsen ones, but they're a bit pricey. The Thjorsa one is £99, but reduced from £250!

lalsy · 11/10/2014 15:38

I'm always in come as you are mode, Crem. Grin Wish I could wear my new slippers, which I am very smitten with Blush.

beachyhead · 11/10/2014 16:26

I'm in come as you are, on a bus on the Old Kent Road. I love a bus adventure Grin I'm going to look in shops and see you all there between 6 and 7pm. If anyone has an iPhone 4 charger I could surreptitiously plug in at the pub, I would be grateful for the loan? Last time we all tapped QQ's electricity bill, I seem to remember!

cremolafoam · 11/10/2014 16:44

I have one Beachy; will chuck into bag.

beachyhead · 11/10/2014 16:55

Thanks Crem...see you all later.

Blackduck · 11/10/2014 17:06

Should be there between 6 and 7 also in 'come as you are'
Have just slipped and banged knee so may be hobbling.....

MontserratCaballe · 11/10/2014 17:17

Crepeys, I am afraid I am going to have to offer my apologies for this evening. Dh is suffering with d and v, so I can't really leave him to the mercy of the punters, not least because he might infect them. Obviously I am very happy to pay for my share of the food. I am so sorry to miss you but hope i might join you on the next (maybe festive) evening.

Have a great time and have several for me. Wine

hattymattie · 11/10/2014 17:20

Have fun tonight Crepeys and take some photos for FB.Smile

Rosebag · 11/10/2014 17:34

I haven't left the house yet...won't be early....but frazzled. Poor monty and her DH. I am wearing black!

NUFC69 · 11/10/2014 17:44

I hope that you are enjoying your trip to the Metropolis, Crem? I once forgot my knickers when we went away Angry oh yes, and thinking about it, I went to the States one time with just the bra I was wearing.

This morning's trip to the Gp for the flu jab was a wasted journey as when we got there the queue outside was at least 50! Needless to say we turned round and came straight home.

It's been glorious sunshine here but cold, temperature at 8.30 was 4 degrees C! I hope it's stopped raining and you are all on your way to the MU. Have a good time. (Perhaps MI could email me a photo as I am not on FB).

motherinferior · 11/10/2014 17:45

Have found charity shoppe frock, will travel Grin

herbaceous · 11/10/2014 18:34

In an outfit that contains not one item from Sainsbury's! Can it be true? See you soon crepos.

beachyhead · 11/10/2014 18:39

I got a bit delayed in Zara Blush

On another bus now....

beachyhead · 11/10/2014 22:33

Ok, doing the before and after post, bit strange! Lovely, lovely evening with all of you. Thanks so much to Crem for organising everything...

Blackduck · 11/10/2014 22:56

So fab to see everyone. Cremo thanks for all the organization.

Thanks so much for organising, Cremo. I had a great time, loved meeting you all; I hope to catch up at the next one with the people I didn't speak to as much as I'd have liked. Great food, too, and they were excellent about the wheat free provision.

There was an unconscious person on the platform at my tube stop, being attended by police. Sad I think he was a fallen-over drunk. Sad The drunks getting off the tube had to step around him.

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/10/2014 00:11

Yes, thank you Crem! I am home now with my slippers on and a nice cup of tea, in true crepey style. Grin Brew
