What's your S&B 'thing?'

Everyone has something that they've got loads of already but can't resist a new addition to the collection.

For me it's coats. I have five Gilets, and probably eight jackets and several winter coats, I added to the collection yesterday with a lovely Mint Velvet Boucle coat. God knows why, just loved it!

I'm also partial to mascara, lip gloss and trainers. It's actually an illness , right? Grin

What's your thing ?

Cardigans.
Cashmere.
Interesting/beautiful flats.
Coats.
Perfume.
Silk dresses.
APC stuff.

FelicityFoxton · 24/09/2014 10:46

I bought some more pyjama bottoms in the fat face sale today.

So that makes around 20 pairs.

jeans, flat boots, unusual trainers, sloppy knitwear....anything leopard print...anything at all that's a 'bargain' ...

would love more coats and gilets; more tops... basics to 'finish' outfits

leedy · 24/09/2014 11:05

Oh yes, APC. I think I would own their entire range if I was limitlessly wealthy.

burnishedsilver · 24/09/2014 11:34

Living up to the username there Betty.

mignonette · 24/09/2014 12:02

Are you having a bad day week Betty- you have been a bit mardy across more than one thread. Wink

SofaCanary · 24/09/2014 12:10

I'm a jacket and boot whore.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 24/09/2014 12:16

Foundation and perfume.

I believe every sodding foundation advert I see, and perfume helps me travel in time. Back.

I justify myself though by only having one pair of shoes. Grin

moonshine · 24/09/2014 12:27

Dresses that don't quite fit (but will when I lose a few pounds Hmm). Hence I have to keep buying more dresses (that don't quite fit) because I have nothing to wear (that fits).

I also like body moisturisers and identical-coloured lipstains/lipsticks (that I don't wear that often but will start to wear more of one day Confused)

Turquoiseblue · 24/09/2014 12:40

Blazers and Jackets Blush
I have
Black blazer x 2 (one slouchy one formal)
Tweed / monochrome knit biker style
Black boucle
Cream casual and cream brocade, cream formal
Various knitted versions
Leather biker
Stone bomber style
Summer bomber style (floral)
Grey blazer
Khaki velvet blazer
Marant jacket
All saints jacket

.... Oh er.....
Would it be too much to say I actually do wear them all well most of them

Turquoiseblue · 24/09/2014 12:43

And I m not a shoe person ...

FelicityFoxton · 24/09/2014 12:48

Mardy?! Betty?! Course she is! It's par for the course with this popular name changer Grin

drapey jersey dresses.

i am small but curvy and prone to a pot belly so find this type of dress suits my shape. this kind of thing, quite like mary portas range of dresses, they are cut a bit vivienne westwood ish.

flowery · 24/09/2014 12:51

Jackets and coats.

In the last month I've added a velvet blazer, North Face Arctic Parka and Mint Velvet leather biker to my collection.

leedy · 24/09/2014 12:53

I too have acquired an Arctic Parka and am desperate for it to get colder so I can wear it!

mignonette · 24/09/2014 12:56

:)

I am really cold today so am wearing another item I buy obsessionally- thick woolly tights.

bleedingheart · 24/09/2014 12:58

Leopard print (scarves, shirts, blouses, shoes, bags, socks, pants, jumpers...)
Jeans
Handbags (leather, usually black)
Black t-shirts
Charcoal grey t-shirts and jumpers
Marl grey t-shirts/sweatshirts
Cobalt blue t-shirts
Charcoal grey trousers with turn ups (3 pairs?!!!)
Slim leg black trousers
Slip on trainers/skater shoes (grey felt, leopard/cheetah, blue leopard, grey leopard, silver mock croc, black pony, black canvas, blue mock croc, pewter snakeprint...)
Loafers (black, black with punched out bits, gold, burnished gold, coral, cream, silver, red, navy patent...)
Brogues
All/any/most products that claim they will tame my curls
Ethereal, dangly Zara Simon style earrings that don't go with anything else I own
Single breasted 60s style coats

Pretty much all high street and often returned straight away though so I can sleep at night and indulge my changeable moods!
If you'd asked me 4 years ago it would have been blazers, blouses and Katherine Hepburn style trousers. Still handbags though, always handbags!

bleedingheart · 24/09/2014 13:02

Mignonette - I decided that I don't wear dresses anymore and gave 15 packets of unopened tights to charity last month. Grey, plum, taupe, cerise, navy, teal... woolly and patterned all sorts. Then I bought a dress to wear with biker boots and thick tights...

wellthisiscrap · 24/09/2014 13:06

Lipstick. I love dark reds & berry tones with neutral eyes & just a thin line of black liquid liner. More permanently autumnal than gothic. It's rare to see a more natural lip on me.

mignonette · 24/09/2014 14:36

Bleeding Smile

That sounds like a box of tights heaven for one lucky charity shopper- tights are so expensive now, even the cheaper ones aren't, um, cheap. I love me a thick tight with a biker. And I am just as indecisive.

M&S stopped selling thick woolly tights in the middle of last winter. Cue howls of fury from me in the middle of the store. All these poncey flesh coloured ones and nothing of substance...

leedy · 24/09/2014 14:44

YES. M&S always stop selling woolly tights some time around January, when it is STILL COLD. I have learned to stockpile earlier in the year....

bluebump · 24/09/2014 14:48

PJ's, eyeliners and in my smaller days, bras.

BettyMoody · 24/09/2014 17:39

i am ALWAYS angry Grin

noddyholder · 24/09/2014 17:59

Too many jeans and white blouse things oh and stripes

mignonette · 24/09/2014 18:01

H&M are selling packs of two very thick and stretchy (good for true Norah Batty depictions) woolly tights in loads of colours. I snapped up a cream/chocolate brown pair (so I can do unsexy librarian), some burgundy and forest green plus the more usual black/navy/grey. They have a nice long torso so I can pull them up under my breasts (mmm sexy) and seem pretty good quality for £12,99 for two.

Better than bloody M&S ones that last one millisecond.
