I'm going shopping next week! I'd like to buy a couple of bits that make me look a bit more up-to-date for autumn/winter. I usually spend the winter in skinny jeans, vests and jumpers or pencil skirts/wrap dresses with opaque tights and black ankle boots. I don't feel HORRIBLY unfashionable.....and I'm not talking about being bang on trend head to toe.....but I was wondering if there are any recommendations for certain things I could look out for to keep me looking like I half know what I'm doing! Smile Many thanks in advance!

How did the shopping go OP?

Sorry for delay, manic weekend! Well, I bought......mid calf length biker boots, some black ankle boots with a bow on the side and a heel, rather than a wedge (thought they'd look nice with tights and pencil skirts) a grey parka with leather-look trim on the cuffs and pockets, two more pencil skirts, one in a teal green, one in black (p)leather with jersey side panels, a couple of chiffon-y blouses, a black jumper with a tie detail at the back, a slinky drapey grey jumper, a snuggley peachy jumper....three patterned scarves, plus some new pjs and vest tops for under the jumpers Smile So a good shop! However, I did limit myself to Primark, H&M and other kind of cheaper shops.....I was hoping to invest in more 'quality rather than quantity' but my car dying last week had an impact on my hoped-for budget! Always something isn't there?! But never mind, I've got some really nice stuff to update me a bit, and I'm really pleased Smile So thanks everyone!
