Tigerbear's FREE clothes and cosmetics thread

I've done this once before with cosmetics only, but interested to see if it'll work for clothes too.

I've just had a massive clear out of clothes, cosmetics, beauty stuff etc and am wondering if any of you lovely MNers would like some stuff for free?

There's too much to list individually, but for instance, there's a Monsoon black tuxedo jacket, Lipsticks that have never been used, a pair of cream wedge sandals, etc

What I suggest is that if you're after something specific, is to post outlining it eg 'I have a job interview next week and would love a new smart jacket' or 'I'd like to experiment and try a new lipstick colour', or whatever, and if I have something similar I'll post. One item per person please. Once we've agreed on who will get what, lets PM and I'll post the item to you.

:-)

Also try Zara for longer length tops, they're usually good for tall folk.
And again, Gap.

Tigerbear - I am a size 12, (sometimes 14) 5"9 trying to sort my post baby wardrobe out. Please let me know if you've anything left. Smile
This really is a fab thread.
I need a clear out maybe we should start a swapping thread?

TallRedhead · 20/09/2014 23:02

Or maybe some beauty stuff. Have I missed the list?

Tigerbear · 20/09/2014 23:12

Grin Chaffinch

Tall I don't think there's anything left re the clothes, but I will be posting a list of beauty stuff tomorrow (meant to do it today)

Tiger, you're a world of advice too!

I'm going to a wedding next month where I will be the least glamorous person there. I have an eleven month old, who I'm still breastfeeding. He's made me thin, but I look a bit raggedy and knackered. I need an excellent wrap dress or similar. My hair seems impervious to efforts to improve it's condition. I'd just like to look a little more cared for.

Tigerbear · 20/09/2014 23:29

Hello Callamia!

I'm afraid I don't have any wrap dresses going spare. I think Needasilverlining posted a pic of a wrap dress she didn't wear, but not sure if its already been snapped up.
Whatever type of dress you decide on, I'd recommend going for a patterned/print one, just in case your LO smears it with anything during the reception!

Aside from the dress, the fastest way to looking more 'polished' and glam is by having your hair professionally blow dried at the hairdresser on the day of the wedding if at all possible, or the night before. People always notice hair - if it's looking good or bad - more than anything else, IMO. It's the easiest way to looking groomed, no matter how much you've spent on anything else. Also pay attention to your nails - I'm not a believer in thinking that a professional manicure is necessary, as long as they're filed, no raggedy edges, and painted in a lovely colour.

Also, look out for the beauty list tomorrow, and let me know if there's anything that would make you feel more glam.

For sure. My usual hairdresser is out of the country. I really need her to come back... I'm going to get back on with looking for an outfit tomorrow.

Dosydoly · 21/09/2014 07:41

Callamia what size are you? I have a black and white wrap dress that I wore to a wedding when I was feeding last year, ill post a pic if you like x

Dosydoly · 21/09/2014 07:42

Tigerbear the optical illusion top came it's gorgeous I really love it thanks so much x

callamia · 21/09/2014 07:55

dosydoly, I'm about an 8, I just can't seem to find anything that fits right. I'm an all new shake post-baby, and I've not got my head around it yet.

Needasilverlining · 21/09/2014 07:59

I've got a missed delivery card from the postman so won't be able to pick up till Wednesday. But am LOVING reading about all the happy people Smile

Dosydoly · 21/09/2014 08:13

Oh I'm no use to you then :( the dress is a 14, such a shame.

Tiredemma · 21/09/2014 08:19

Tigerbear. Love the nude shoes. I have dinky feet, are they still going?

hettie · 21/09/2014 08:35

Thank you so much (have pmd you).
On another note... Can you give me some advice on styling a grey cable knit crowded jumper? It was a gift but I struggle to wear it as I don't want to expose my belly and not quite sure how to pull off longer tops underneath (and then what bottom halfs etc).....

JLucky22 · 21/09/2014 08:36

Thank you. It is lovely :)

Tigerbear · 21/09/2014 09:28

Tiredemma yes, the nude shoes are yours if you want them :-)
PM me your details and I'll send tomorrow

enormouse · 21/09/2014 13:06

Hi tiger, I received the jumper yesterday. It's lovely. I'm going to wear it to dinner at my in laws tonight. Thanks so much.

Calamia I have a lovely emerald green maxi dress, size 8 or a 10 from mothercare. It's breastfeeding friendly (I think). Would you be interested.

Tigerbear · 21/09/2014 19:25

TallRedhead I did find something in your size. A lovely tunic top with elasticated waist. Salmony pink with black lace detail by Louche. PM me if you'd like it.

Ok, I've done a final sort out of the clothes and shoes. There is nothing left apart from what is pictured in the next few posts. (Yet I don't seem to have that much space emptied in my wardrobe. How can that be??)
