I look like a boy.

Just that really.
Had my haircut yesterday. Stylist got a bit scissor happy. I've never cried about a haircut until now. It's so short. I can't tie it back at all. There's no length and I have sticky out ears so I can't even pin a little bit back for a change.
I didn't tell the stylist I wasn't happy as I didn't want to embarrass her but I emailed the manager and she has offered a refund and an appointment to sort it once it has grown out a bit.
I don't feel like me anymore :(

It will grow. Is it possible to see a picture. Sorry your upset. Often hairdressers don't seem to listen.

pictish · 23/08/2014 11:10

Aw that's a shame. It will grow.
I agree that some hairdressers don't listen to their clients. The last cut I had was too short as well. I wasn't upset about it because it was ok, but it wasn't what I asked for.

enormouse · 23/08/2014 11:11

So sorry. How short is it?

BatCrapCrazy · 23/08/2014 11:13

This is it :(

Hate it

You look fantastic, and I'm not just saying that.
Longer would be duller. It's a good cut. Your hairdresser knows her stuff.

pictish · 23/08/2014 11:17

And you certainly don't look like a boy...that's a woman's cut through and through.
You look like a stylish woman.

enormouse · 23/08/2014 11:18

You have a really pretty face op. I think you really suit it (even though it's probably not what you want to hear). Emphasises your eyes and cheekbones.

So it's a graduated bob? I've had my hair cut like that before.
What about getting a fringe cut to soften it.

ElleDubloo · 23/08/2014 11:20

You actually look gorgeous, really stylish. I'm sorry you don't like it. You're probably not used to your hair looking that way, but objectively speaking, you do look fabulous.

enormouse · 23/08/2014 11:25

Maybe a few soft curls? like this? I think styling it like that would look gorgeous on you. And give you another way to style it.

furcoatbigknickers · 23/08/2014 11:26

I LOVE it.... You are gorgeus.

furcoatbigknickers · 23/08/2014 11:27

I'm sorry you don't like it.

Giddypants · 23/08/2014 11:28

Really pretty!

MrsDavidBowie · 23/08/2014 11:30

You do not look like a boy. Why would you want to tie it back anyway when its cut in a style?
Mine is similar but even shorter with a fringe.
We both rock the look Smile

FanjolinaJolie · 23/08/2014 11:31

It is honestly not a bad cut, it looks quite good actually. You have a pretty feminine face and DO NOT look like a boy.

I think you could try styling it 'messy' try curling it a little with straighteners or an iron and embrace the short length. I think it would look a lot more on trend and make you look you younger/hip in a messy style. Try flipping some sections outward with straighteners.

FanjolinaJolie · 23/08/2014 11:33

Yes yes to fringe, long and sideways sweeping I think if you part your hair on the side. Is it the back you don't like? Was it graduated too high? I have had this done before and I hated it, side profile of the cut was particularly brutal.

shalo2 · 23/08/2014 11:34

Gorgeous haircut and suits you. My hair is like that but shorter. You most definitely do not look like a boy!

BatCrapCrazy · 23/08/2014 11:39

I did have a full fringe but have put it to the side as I felt it was too dramatic with the cut so short. The cut itself isn't bad at all. It's just far shorter than I imagined it would be

I love it. You have good cheek bones and the perfect shape face for the cut - I agree with the others that your hairdresser knows their stuff.

I have a similar face shape and have a pixie cut so to me your hair isn't short. I think it will grow on you :)

WitchWay · 23/08/2014 12:24

It's lovely & looks well-cut, so it ought to keep its shape as it grows.

What was it like before?

TeeManyMartoonis · 23/08/2014 12:27

I really like it! Give it a few days and you may well too. But, having said that, I know the feeling of hating a cut.

chockbic · 23/08/2014 12:28

It looks really nice. If its layered you can muss it up a bit. Or slick it back. Still do things if you get bored.

WildBillfemale · 23/08/2014 12:56

I was expecting to have to make something up when I scrolled down and saw you had posted a picture - I don't, it looks lovely and you don't look like a boy. It's fresh young and chic!

Safmellow · 23/08/2014 13:11

It's fab! I'd kill for hair like that. Hope it grows on you Grin

buttercrumble · 23/08/2014 13:15

I think you look great Smile
