navy - ageing or classic?

Am struggling with this having bought a few items of navy clothing recently. I'm mid 30s btw.

I think we all need to find our own classics. Mine are plum, dark green, charcoal grey and (although I've not found it for ages) dark chocolate brown. These always suit me and they go with lots of other colours. I will sometimes wear navy but I avoid it next to my face.

No traffic warden chic for me - I think it must depend on the cut of the garment and what you look like yourself Grin Yes, opaque tights, usually with some cotton content. I have two navy dresses (one fitted, one shapeless Gap number) which I wear with thick grey tights and knee high flat tan boots. I also have black boots that go with one of the dresses and grey tights.

But I generally don't have to wear anything super-smart. I do have a navy suit which I wear with not-quite-opaque black tights and black patent shoes but that's for job interviews and the like.
