Wedding ring - do you like this?

dottytablecloth · 11/08/2014 13:43

I didn't get an engagement ring Sad just a plain gold wedding band.

Anyway we will soon be coming up to a significant anniversary and dh wants to get me a new eternity/wedding ring. I don't wear any other rings.

I do fancy something with some sparkle is this nice?

I've never shopped for a ring before!

Anyone ever heard of this company or bought from them before?

More importantly is it nice? Opinions welcome!

Taste is very personal. That's all I'm saying… Grin

Crutchlow35 · 11/08/2014 13:48

I don't like yellow gold but I do quite like it but then my rings are quite big also.

LuckySaint · 11/08/2014 13:50

It's a bit blingy for my taste.
Never heard of the company either.
But if you've got that sort of money to spend, you could get a lovely ring from somewhere else

IfUSeekAmy · 11/08/2014 13:50

If that was in white gold I would definitely wear it. My wedding ring is a band with diamonds in as I didn't have an engagement ring so a wedding ring with bling made up for it

I don't like it but I don't see how that is of any real relevance.

But then I also only have a plain wedding band and I'm happy with it. I'm not keen on blood diamonds bling.

turdfairynomore · 11/08/2014 13:52

It's lovely but I don't think I'd be comfortable buying online. But don't listen to me anyway as I'm a sucker for antique jewellery!

AnyFucker · 11/08/2014 13:53

it looks a bit like something I got from Next for 10 quid, sorry

dottytablecloth · 11/08/2014 13:54

I have long fingers and huge knuckles! attractive

A small ring would look a bit measly on my hand I think.

Mixed opinions then! Has to be yellow gold as I'm v pale and white good look wishy washy on me I think!

I mean I do like it in yellow gold but I personally don't wear yellow gold as it doesn't suit me but if I was presented with that ring in white gold platinum I would be more than happy

magicstar1 · 11/08/2014 13:57

Sorry...I think it looks really cheap too

Ernest Jones always have lovely blingy wedding rings, I got mine from there but could have chosen about 5 others if cost wasn't an issue

AnyFucker · 11/08/2014 14:01

here it is, and a bigger bargain than I thought

blow the difference on a fabulous holiday ! Grin

MrsWinnibago · 11/08/2014 14:03

I think it's very nice but not my style. I LOVE yellow gold and hate this fashion for white gold. I think the white gold rings of today will be very dated in 20 years and they'll look most unfashionable.

MrsLettuce · 11/08/2014 14:05

You'll wear your tradional, plain gold band (my very favourite type of wedding band) with it, right? There are so many small diamonds that it doesn't look at all real, sorry. How about something like this or this? too.

Personal taste is all though. You must love it. I'd be inclined to something more like this or this , or in fact, probably something vintage when it comes down to it, says nowt.

not2nitedarling · 11/08/2014 14:07

Bloody hell. My wedding ring cost £12. Is real gold.

Siarie · 11/08/2014 14:07

I don't like it at all, but taste is personal which means that for all the people that don't like it there will be lots that do to balance it out.

If you love it go for it, I've not heard of that company before.

AnyFucker · 11/08/2014 14:09

I designed my own ring through Beaverbrooks, 20 years ago

it looks similar to this but in yellow gold

OneLittleLady · 11/08/2014 14:10

I wouldn't wear it as it's too blingy for my tastes but if you like it and would wear it and love it, then go for it. taste is subjective anyway and what I like, you might not. The important hing is that whatever you get is something you love and has special meaning to you

Selks · 11/08/2014 14:16

If you are going to buy diamonds please make sure you buy ethical ones, that is ones that are not a produce of war or involve child labour. If you google 'ethical diamonds' you will get more info.

dottytablecloth · 11/08/2014 14:16

also liked this one

I wouldn't want dh to spend all that money if it looked fake, but would it look fake in RL?

I guess I'm going from one extreme to the other of no bling to bling!

samthewolf · 11/08/2014 14:16

Doesn't matter what everyone else thinks if you like it and could stand to look at it for many years to come. For what it's worth that's not something I would ever wear and I do think it looks like it's from primarni but then again you'd probably hate mine just as much! If you love it, that's all that matters.

dottytablecloth · 11/08/2014 14:18

I'm posting here as I want other people's opinions though as it is a lot of money and I don't want to make a mistake!
