Hope you had your vag with you Rudy in case things turned chilly? Shock

Puppy BD? Puppy?

cremolafoam · 14/08/2014 22:28

Please explain
A vag
B puppy
??
I'm lost.

BTM tis Charente Maritime. Vaux -sur mer. Ddad bought the place there in 1972 when he and dmum had hippy notions of leaving The Troubles behind. Didn't quite work out that way... Still pretty, nice coves, buckets of lobster , Pineau to sip, breton shirt requirement v highGrin love it.
Night night . It has been, for once, an exceptionally good day.Smile

MontserratCaballe · 14/08/2014 22:29

Love San Sebastián. Had a fantastic trip round France and Spain in a lotus soft top about 15 years ago. It was lovely, although the gentleman concerned was not, it transpired.

My vag has seen lots of action today. It's been raining on and off, only stopping around 5ish. We were at the zoo so the whole family had them out. Good lord!

Hope all travellers are well and that exam revellers are not too jaded.

Auriga · 14/08/2014 22:56

Hi everyone. Sorry to miss all the excitement (long day). Congratulations to successful sons, daughters, nephews and nieces.

Our nephew texted early to say he's got into his first choice of university. An extraordinary achievement, as he's had to do all his interviews and exams under extremely distressing circumstances. I'm so delighted and relieved for him. And his chosen place is only an hour and a half from us, so we'll be able to offer lots of support.

Phew.

bigTillyMint · 14/08/2014 23:21

Oooh I would LOVE to go to San SebastienEnvy Monty, that sounds like a very interesting story!

Charente Maritime is super, Cremo. We had a few happy camping hols there, riding our bikes in la Foret Dominale de La Tremblade and on Presqu'ile d'Oleron. Would love to go back - have fun!

Rudy, at least we didnt get lost - we had a lovely guide called Donaldo!

Well done to Aurigas nephew! How were your brainiacs all celebrating?

lalsy · 14/08/2014 23:48

Great news Auriga - you must be very proud of your nephew.

CointreauVersial · 15/08/2014 00:14

What a lovely 24 hours of posts to catch up on! I'm so so delighted for all your clever offspring (with a special Flowers for Crem Junior).

I'm off to bed - I'm cream crackered. I met today's bid deadline with six minutes to spare, and left work feeling I might have to lie down in a darkened room for a couple of hours to recover. Instead, I went shopping. Blush then came home and cooked something unhealthy.

Blackduck · 15/08/2014 06:43

puppy

Blackduck · 15/08/2014 06:45

Auriga fab news re nephew! W
Seems to have been a good day all round.

Bathroom update - piping all replaced for that flexi stuff. Batons for walls built, extractor in......

Rosebag · 15/08/2014 06:53

auriga lovely news!

Awaiting cab to the airport. Feeling rough after a complete ( rare for me) panic attack in the middle of the night. The works. Didn't realise how the tension of the last couple of months had taken their toll. It all came tumbling out in one go. Most inconvenient. (sad)

Blackduck · 15/08/2014 07:13

Rosebag :( hope you are okay - will all be fine!

MontserratCaballe · 15/08/2014 07:39

Oh Rose, I am so sorry. I hope that your holiday will bring you some peace Flowers.

Crem this is a vag in a bag. One of autocorrect's finest.

beachyhead · 15/08/2014 09:27

Hope you get some rest, Rose.

The revellers are mooching around the garden, looking very over revelled here! They all slept in a big teenage pile in the room above the garage. A very mixed sleepover!

Rosebag · 15/08/2014 09:45

Feeling better. Very tired and a bit fragile but ok. At airport. Quite wowed by the new terminal two. And not at all crowded as only a few air lines go from here at the moment.

NUFC69 · 15/08/2014 10:01

That's good to know, Rose, (that you're feeling a little bit better, I mean). Have a lovely, relaxing time with the family.

Love the image of DC in a tangled heap on the floor, Beachy. They deserve their celebrations. I don't think that they get as stressed when they do uni exams (well mine didn't).

I am feeling very righteous as I have just done an hour on the exercise bike. My innards aren't completely right yet after the episode yesterday, but getting there.

Bon voyage to holiday makers for tomorrow - I think it's going to be very quiet on here for the next couple of weeks.

cremolafoam · 15/08/2014 10:52

Auriga - congratulations to your nephew.
Rose- take it easy. It takes a while to right yourself after a panic attack . Hope you can get the rest you need
I am shattered as only slept about 2-3 hours. My head was working at 100 miles an hour thinking about what dd needs for uni. Ffs madness.

Rudy, if you fancy it dps rent the apartment out. Not far from Foret De Coubre and Grande Cote. Just sayin ...

Am throwing things into tiny carry on suitcases. The shorts of shame will be seeing a bit of action.Grin
Just want to lie on sand with feet in sea now.

herbaceous · 15/08/2014 11:51

About to start stuffing sensible layers into suitcase. I am taking my slippers. SLIPPERS. In AUGUST. I'm wondering whether to bother bringing sandals. In, I repeat, AUGUST.

Still, at least it's not going to be as rainy as feared, just gale-force winds. The vag will be flapping gaily.

NUFC69 · 15/08/2014 12:43

I think it was 13 degrees here yesterday rising to 16, Herbs. I went out in a long sleeved t, topped with a loose cardigan when I went out a short while ago - the trouble is that it is more likely to be wet in Wales than here so will feel colder. That wretched hurricane has a lot to answer for. How are you feeling now? Normal again?

Stropperella · 15/08/2014 12:47

Big, big congratulations to Crem's and Lalsy's dds - exciting times!! Congrats also to Beachy's dd and QQ's ds - looking good for next year
Happy hols to those travelling. Weather in France supposed to improve from now - because we're leaving soon. Not much relaxation going on here. Dd still warring with dh and ds has sensibly abandoned us for another family.
Have spent too much time trying to suss out what it is that I've done wrong over the years to cause this and am now sad and anxious about the future for lots of reasons.

bigTillyMint · 15/08/2014 12:47

Bon voyage Rose! I can confirm that T2 is indeed shiny, new and quiet! And BD and HerbsSmile

Cremo, is DD all back to normalish now? Meds and input must be working wellSmile

CointreauVersial · 15/08/2014 13:34

It's nice and quiet here in the office after yesterday's frenzied deadline-meeting.

Rose - sorry to hear about your panic attack - hope the holiday restores you. And Crem - stop fretting about September!! Just switch off for a few days.

Strops - bickering families are a fact of life. We all have them, in varying degrees, and there's nothing like a holiday to bring up the tension. There is nothing you have done "wrong".

Herbs - talking of sandals; during my impromptu shopping trip yesterday I actually purchased a pair. Not in the sale, either, worst luck. In my defence, I've been looking for blue sandals since forever, and it's just my luck that I find what I've been looking for just as autumn descends. Ah well, they'll do for next year.

Any plans for the weekend (apart from those of you on holiday)? I have precisely none. Although I'm taking Monday off, and have a stimulating agenda consisting of orthodontist appointment for DD1, ear piercing for DD2, and school shoe fitting for both. That's enough excitement, surely? Hmm

bigTillyMint · 15/08/2014 15:33

Aww Stropps, have just seen your post. I definitely concurr with CV - it is NOT you, it is all 15/16year old girls. Mine has had moments when I have heartily felt like slapping her self-important little face and leaving her to the mercies of the locals. DH and I have been watching Modern Families on Netflix here and it does make us feel at least a little bit better.

She is probably bored at times - they start getting really mean amd argumentative and looking for fault in everythingAngry

NUFC69 · 15/08/2014 15:55

I agree with BTM and CV, Stropps. The rest of us have all suffered at one time or another from quarrelling teenagers, I don't see why yours should be any different! In fact I would probably take it as a personal insult if I thought you were getting away with it.
