Rosebag · 14/08/2014 11:03

Beachy great news! Monty Great re niece! Rudy we have GCSE results coming up….more hand holding required. MI are you on board yet?

NUFC69 · 14/08/2014 11:21

Well done to DC, Beachy, it's so good when they see the results they are achieving.

cremolafoam · 14/08/2014 11:23

well done Beachys dc! that's terrific at AS ( I think extra difficult at AS tbh)
That's great as all the points count.

DD already on pooter choosing her modules......

I have booked the ferry Hmm

motherinferior · 14/08/2014 11:24

Nous sommes en France, as they say in France.

cremolafoam · 14/08/2014 11:34

Mi have Pmed you. I got confused and thought you were going to Devon - Please ignore and continue with Croissant.
As you were.... Confused

herbaceous · 14/08/2014 11:55

The crepeys obviously have clever genes. Well done all brainy teens.

Thoughts are turning to packing for Wales. Av daily temperature 15deg. Though not raining much, for which I dare say I should be grateful. I guess it's jeans, long-sleeve t-shirts, light jacket, scarves. Kite. Wellies. And, of course, beach towels.

bigTillyMint · 14/08/2014 12:23

Well done all crepey DC[cake|FlowersWine What achievements! And now the scramble to sort everything for going off to uni, eek!

Cremo, I know youre in the UK and npt a euro-loving foreignerWink but Scotland has a different system, so I thought NI might too... !

lalsy · 14/08/2014 12:28

Yes, we are off on holiday first though BTM (about bloody time).

Beachy, great news, that's really good.

bigTillyMint · 14/08/2014 12:29

Well it seems that I can confirm that less is more.

Big shouting match between DC yesterday over Netflix after beach which resulted in both being sent to rooms, sulking and DH and I going for dinner on our own (Smile) When there was no/crappy TVs and they were sharing a room, we had none of this. Or maybe it is due to this being our 15th day away together...

cremolafoam · 14/08/2014 13:16

sorry to hear about warring teens BTM. oh and didn't mean to sound , erm you know, flag toting in any way earlier. I was a wee bit stressed....
sorry anyway. some exams are different board ( CCEA ) and those results are posted online at 7am. then others are AQA , same as Engerland, and released by school in envelopes. However Ucas had already confirmed place before we got the French AQA result, so dd knew she'd got a decent grade.

have decided to go to France on Saturday. ( yay) dh is off next week and the fares aren't too bad. We should get 10 days out of it. Parents apartment free, thanks be.
I can feel my shoulders going down from months of hunching. maybe my gammy leg is stress related and pain will abate.

QueenQueenie · 14/08/2014 15:03

Hi there to everyone - feel very behind here!

Ds1 did extremely well in his ASs which is fantastic. Am very pleased for him and very proud .

Brilliantly well done to all the dds who've aced their A2s and are planning to be off to their new adventures. A extra special hug for Crem and dd of Crem... you know why. Well done Rosebag's dn too!

Well done Beachy's dd with the ASs - I think it's so good for them to be going into next year with that behind them...

Hi there Rudy. Will hold your hand next week. Ds2 gets one (I, 1) GCSE next week...
Bonne vacances MI! if you see Stropps glugging a bottle of fizz in her tent say Hi from me...

How's the bathroom going BD? Have left the builders and kitchen fitters alone in London Shock

Laters

bigTillyMint · 14/08/2014 15:03

Thats great Cremo - a proper break will be great for you all. And hopefully your leg and all other ailmemts will improve. And you will all have time to take stock and talk in a different placeSmile

NUFC69 · 14/08/2014 15:07

What a good idea, Crem, a holiday in France sounds great. I am pleased to hear that you are feeling more relaxed now. You deserve a medal after what you have been through.

I think separation of DC is called for, BTM, it's so wearing when they argue all the time.

We had a lovely lunch, only trouble is that I have been running to the loo for the last hour. Everyone else seems fine, although we didn't all have the same food, so I don't know what to think.

QueenQueenie · 14/08/2014 15:14

Don't forget the vag in a bag Herbs!

Blackduck · 14/08/2014 15:26

Cremo have a fab break - you deserve it!

QQ - electrician was doing lights, extractor fan and radiator today, then I think it's the walls and floor. We too will be leaving them to it tomorrow as we head down to mil to drop ddog off before flying out at stupid o'clock Saturday morning.......

lalsy · 14/08/2014 16:05

Ooooh what a good plan Crem.

QQ great news, does he want to do medicine, or did I imagine that?

BTM< hope dinner a deux was a silver lining, sounds tough.

Off on holiday tomorrow.

bigTillyMint · 14/08/2014 16:39

TBF they have barely argued all hol and last night was a bonus - not only diner a deux but we were also able to watch The Butler on Netflix in peaceWink No sign of either one yet this morning....

Cremo where to en France? MI are you there yet? BD and Lalsy where is it you're going again?

QueenQueenie · 14/08/2014 18:21

Yes, he's v keen to do medicine Lalsy. It's a long and arduous path as far as I can tell...

addle · 14/08/2014 19:12

Well done to all the little-ish crepeys - what a wonderfully happy set of posts.
Hooray!

Blackduck · 14/08/2014 19:12

BTM - Bilbao.....

QueenQueenie · 14/08/2014 19:15

You lucky thing BD. I'd love to hear what you think of it... we were talking just yesterday about going to San Sebastien and Bilbao this time next year for a few days to (hopefully) celebrate ds1's A2s and s2's GCSEs.

herbaceous · 14/08/2014 19:40

I fancy a bit of San Sebastien. Good marriage of culchur and actual holiday!

My vag is all rolled up in its special pink pouch. I fear it may be a bit chilly for the vag. With predicted maximums of 15deg, I fear it's more of a 'permanent sensible coat' situation.

Strange lurgy is now manifesting itself around my tonsils and ears. I have wine.

Blackduck · 14/08/2014 19:49

Been before - love it! Have a day in San Seb sorted (with a very nice lunch ;) )

Can't wait to see Puppy again :)
