MI, DM sometimes says "oh no I couldn't possibly eat all that" despite being overweight/obese all her adult life, and managing to clear most typically enormous pub grub plates

Rudy, I hope you set the alarm!

I arrived back from the supermarket to find

• DS and DD frantically getting ready to go up to Camden
• DD screeching that the loft windows had been left open (torrential rain earlier!) - soaking everywhere plus roof dirt washed in
• DS had brought the washing in
• DD saying she would text me the address of the BBQ/party she is going to this evening, that she told me about last week - what???

It is now peace and quiet. I think DH must be in the pub, or lying in a gutter somewhere having slid off his bike in the rain, and not having rung me back from 2 hours ago!!!

Weather just broke here on the South Coast. Unfortunately, dd1 is out on a driving lesson. Oh well, guess she had to use those windscreen wipers sometime pity about the thunder and lightening.

Have fun tonight Crepeys! I haven't started packing yet. Off at crack of dawn to Cornwall. We are packing in Bags for Life, as we always do when camping. They fit in the car like Lego.

Crepeys, I'm sorry but I'm bailing out of this evening's high jinks. This weather has done for me and I am nursing a truly horrible headache. I don't think industrial quantities of Woo Woo would help much!

I'm dithering between a striped maxi, and my Sainsbury's Joan Holloway number. It doesn't get out much these days.

DP stuck in the underground - but with WiFi (woot) - and can't leave until he gets here.

Knockers. Tube is suspended, and I just missed a train. In case I don't get there in time, mine's a mixed mezze!

At home and slumped on sofa. Lovely to see you all. My pants are still damp!

Another fabulous day of our South West Tour draws to a close. Aquarium and beach (a beautiful one we more or less stumbled upon). I'm lying on the bed in our farmhouse B&B absolutely stuffed with dinner and feeling lightly toasted. St Ives tomorrow, although I'm a bit depressed to hear that the weather is on the turn. It really was amazing today; I even had a dip in the sea.

Sorry didn't make meal, but sitting in a tropical downpour with MrsS and BTM was fun :)

Sounds like a good time was had by all yesterday. Damp pants? The mind boggles.

The holiday in the West Country sounds lovely as well. Our day was punctuated by sitting at the side of rivers and canals drinking spritzers - the rest of the time we were walking. I am looking forward to the party now - it's about an hour's drive to get there and I think I will be driving home.

Sounds like a good night had by all? ,!! QQ are you feeling better? It was real headache weather, wasn't it. Am about to get on the road with DD down to Sussex. Feeling a bit worried we've missed the best of the weather, but hey ho.
DD on a bit of a high after performance of dance and poetry piece on bullying at the theatre. A very powerful piece. Now for a couple of weeks of nothing . Bliss.....

It was so short! Especially for those detained by public transport woes. I hardly spoke to mrs S, or MI, or stropps, but had could admire in detail Rudy's new eyes. She's even more glam than ever!

We made it.... Set off at 430am and finally arrived.

My head is still sore but that may be on account of the fricking builders in my basement who managed to set off the alarm today which rang for 20 minutes without stopping. My neighbours must love us.

Lovely breakfast out with Stropps - our downstairs was like a teenage cave as both had mates sleeping over - DD is 15 today

Trying to do a Hatty and stain our dining chairs much darker. It's a long, boring job, even out in the sun.
