Statement necklaces. I hate you

Wore one last night. Heavy Hot. Clanky. Irritating.

Plus you can't wear earrings with them IMO.
It's like a bloody neck iron.

I can't bear necklaces. I'm all about the bracelet

She is the queen of the pop of colour. I love bracelets too and rings just only ever like one piece at a time. I always say take off some of the bling and add another coat of mascara

You don't need to to be aware of her though. I don't but she is everywhere

Yes she is everywhere. Unless you chuck your TV out the window and avoid all newsagents, you'll run into her.

I've always hated the word statement necklace. However, I have chunky necklaces I have had for years and were gifts. My favourite ones are turquoise and silver beads hand made bought in a market in Istanbul and a Mexican silver and malachite one from the 1970's. I'll still be wearing them in 10 years time.

I thought we were going to have a run on ethnic jewellery after the Yves Saint Laurent bio-film. But it hasn't happened.

I like Cos jewellery but can't quite face paying lots of money for a pice of nylon thread and a felt cube: minimalism a bit too far.

I discovered a new jewellery hazard the other day: I went out in a silver necklace and it drew the sun down to my neck and burned me!! I didn't even know this was possible.

They all look a bit M&S 'per una' to me

dexter75 - yes!!!!! And that was last week, too! Last week was clearly a week of a lot of bad firsts.

It really, really hurt.

Not being able to wear earrings is the biggest problem for me.

I don't like the look of naked ear holes at all.

i am always burning my wrists with the heat from the hob as I stir things

I am more of a bangle person, and a chunky earring.

I do have a couple of lovely necklaces but they tend to the pendant side of things.

I love big yeah but no but hoops

I love bangles/bracelets - either armloads of silver and leather ones, or one big cuff. I have nice wrists, so like drawing attention to them - and don't generally want to draw attention to norks with big necklaces.

Small delicate ok with boobs but chunky and colourful a bit brash

Lorraine Kelly queen of Pop of Colour. Even 8 year old DD goes all 'TAKE IT OFF' if I do the 'splash of colour' thing, as she calls it.

Not keen on earring hoops. I like lots of bangles on people. Feels all wrong on me.
