Wore one last night. Heavy Hot. Clanky. Irritating.

Plus you can't wear earrings with them IMO.
It's like a bloody neck iron.

I'm banning them. swishes wand

Shudder at button necklaces. I did like a lariat back in the day when I was a bit post natal.

What's a button necklace? A necklace made of buttons? Hardly that! Excuse my ignorance. Can you link?

lurkingaround · 13/07/2014 12:23

I like www.vancleefarpels.com/us/en/article/3206/alhambra-collection. On phone, hope the link works. Teeny tiny bit pricey tho.

Oh damn you all. I'd been working the layered pendants thing but yesterday bought first statement necklace in zara to try to balance out my 23 week bump. I thought it was ok but heart wasn't totally in it...now I hate it!

Saw a woman wearing a really good low key Cos-esque one at dinner the other night though. Plus she had a great ring on her middle finger - beaten gold with a bit sticking out like a pulled foil wrapper. ..does that make sense?

I haven't been able to get into them either. I bought a mini statement one from Banana Republic that I like, but feel too self conscious in bigger ones.

I am looking for delicate silver necklaces (and bracelets and rings), but don't know where to look. any ideas?

GretchenWiener · 13/07/2014 15:07

BriarRainbowshimmer · 13/07/2014 16:10

Cos jewelry looks like it's from a hardware store, but to each their own.

GretchenWiener · 13/07/2014 16:17

i quite like that look.
I have some really plain brushed ' gold' earrings. just about 4 cm long thin strip. always admired

Apatite1 · 13/07/2014 16:35

Argh not for me. I wear a small diamond pendant (about 0.8 carat) every day. Cannot be asked to change it for work!

clangermum · 13/07/2014 16:37

Diane on The Good Wife does chunky necklaces well

I'd look like it was wearing me....

noddyholder · 13/07/2014 16:37

"We found 65,640 items!" Oh dear...

PhantomTollbooth · 13/07/2014 17:25

Statement necklaces are the kind of thing worn by light entertainment TV presenters.

The Lorraine Kelly necklace in other words.

Dislike them.

noddyholder · 13/07/2014 17:33

It is about 2 inches below collar bone so not long but really lovely. I have the gold they have it in silver but the shop I got it from doesn't have those so no idea what they look like.
