Thanks Beachy for the frisky title suggestion.

Well, here we all are!

Argh. Call from DP. He has call on his phone about DD2's exams tomorrow. I don't know the answers. (Why should I?)

MrsS used to nip to Disney for a break. Grin

CointreauVersial · 15/07/2014 13:28

I've been to LEGOLAND a couple of times and, to be fair, I'm quite fond of it. Only if Tesco are paying, mind. My offspring are of course too big and ugly to enjoy such simple pleasures - even Chessington is too tame nowadays.

DH's peaceful man-jog early this morning was invaded by both DD1 and DD2. Grin

Snigger.

motherinferior · 15/07/2014 13:49

I really think it's going to be tough on my two, especially darling DD1 who will flip into Grunt And Eyerolling mode wonder if I can bribe her to have a meltdown and need to be taken off for a sit down?-

Blackduck · 15/07/2014 14:29

BTM - you are lucky - we did two and a half days of the stuff.......

I had to feign a migraine one night as I just couldn't stand it!

hattymattie · 15/07/2014 14:31

CV - DH jogs every Sunday and now DS has to ride behind him on his bikeGrin.

motherinferior · 15/07/2014 14:59

Way to go to make this more alluring, BD.Grin

Have just had Moment of Warmth on tube. Helped hassled mother of tiny twins with bottles etc and when I had to get out at my stop another passenger (bloke) took over feeding one of them.

Rosebag · 15/07/2014 15:15

Ah, MI that's lovely Smile

I was ok with Disney, Florida but that was about 20 years ago…..Loved Epcot

Can I just vent my spleen? Hard hats everyone. EE (the utter, utter morons) have not only failed for 2 days to port my mobile service from the old iPhone to my newly upgraded iPhone, but have now managed to deactivate DS2's sim (he's also on an EE contract} as well. DH is living it up in Frankfurt, after trips to Paris and Amsterdam (well, not living it up exactly but getting away iyswim). EE say they can't sort it. Tossers.
ps sorry if any of you work for EE…it's not personal. Angry Angry Angry

bigTillyMint · 15/07/2014 15:50

Rose, amAngry for you. How annoying and inconvenient!

MI, that is lovely.

motherinferior · 15/07/2014 16:35

Oh no.

I am so sorry.

Blackduck · 15/07/2014 17:26

Oh Rudy Hmm

Rosebag · 15/07/2014 17:27

Rudy I am so sorry for your DM's illness and her relapse. Will she have some more treatment? Hugs to you xx

CointreauVersial · 15/07/2014 17:32

Oh no, Rudy, so sorry to hear that. Horrible disease. How is DM feeling?

OP posts:
Stropperella · 15/07/2014 17:34

Oh Rudy, that's miserable news. :( I'm really sorry to hear that.

Dd has just rung me in a state from Thorpe Park - they stored their stuff in a secure locker and came back to find someone had broken into it and taken some, but not all, of their cash. The phones didn't get nicked, just cash. Poor dd and friend. Not a good end to their day out in the big wide world.

And the accountant has just called. That wasn't very good news either. Damn.

CointreauVersial · 15/07/2014 17:35

And Rose, EE are indeed tossers. I look after the phone account at work (70 lines) and had great pleasure in taking the contract off them earlier in the year and awarding it to O2. I believe we are still wrestling with the final bill.

originalpiratematerial · 15/07/2014 18:08

Rudy I'm so sorry - how grim. Bastard disease.

NUFC69 · 15/07/2014 18:19

So sorry to hear your news, Rudy, that's a bummer. What have they actually said?

DH has been for his stress test today, following the echocardiogram on Saturday - the technician said that his heart is fine, so that's good news. But why the chest/stomach pains? Back to the drawing board.

Hatty, it's been about 18 degrees today but very pleasant. If you're anywhere near Whitby there is a lovely hotel just north at Sandsend called Raithwaite Hall; lovely food and very attractive surroundings. We have been to stay a couple of times.

I have never had the misfortune of visiting Legoland and do not envy you, MI.

Rose, last time I heard Israel had accepted the ceasefire but Hamas have turned it down. I hope DS's trip is without incident.

beachyhead · 15/07/2014 18:47

Rudy, I'm of sorry to hear the news of dm. I'm glad it was being watched so closely but sad it's not the result you wanted. Hmm

hattymattie · 15/07/2014 18:59

So sorry RudySad

herbaceous · 15/07/2014 19:12

Rudy Sad. How's she bearing up?

cremolafoam · 15/07/2014 19:58

Rudy , so sorry about DM.Sad Thinking of you.

bigTillyMint · 15/07/2014 20:10

Oh StroppsShock - not good re Thorpe Park. Wonder why the breaker-iners only took some money and not phones? Don't think mine would leave their stuff anywhere - too used to London!
Hope the accountant isn't ruining your plans.
