Love it. It's taken years off!

NinetyNinePercentTroll · 13/06/2014 20:00

My god. You look like your own daughter Shock. The old bob was very ageing. The new 'do is fantastic on you. Love.

YellowStripe · 13/06/2014 20:05

What made you do it?

WildThong · 13/06/2014 20:10

Gorgeous!

LoveVintage · 13/06/2014 20:11

You look fab! I went from a bob to short hair a couple of years ago - really liberating and I love having short hair.

YellowStripe · 13/06/2014 20:14

I've been going shorter for a couple of years - went blonde to hide the grey - but just fancied a real change and wanted to go back brown.

The length is due to the unglamorous reason of horrendous night sweats Sad

Can't wait to have a drying time of (hopefully) less than ten minutes!

Yay! I think that everyone should get all of their hair cut off Grin. I did it last year, and it's the best thing I've ever done.

I dry it for 3 minutes Wink.

YellowStripe · 13/06/2014 20:39

3 minutes? Brilliant!

Can you recommend any product? Wax? Fudge?

OP posts:
ballsballsballs · 13/06/2014 20:45

I haven't used my dryer for nearly a year. I keep meaning to use straighteners on my fringe.

Fudge is good, also that putty stuff. You only need a tiny bit.

Nocomet · 13/06/2014 20:48

It's brilliant.
Sadly I'd look like this.

My hair hangs straight, it refuses to stay in any style and it needs washing by lunch time.

I've had the chop!!
WastingMyYoungYears · 13/06/2014 20:49

My hairdresser used to sell me this for £10 - it gives really strong hold, and can be applied to wet or dry hair (I used to do both in a row).

At the moment, I use this for £20 - I like it as it's apparently more 'natural', but it doesn't give anywhere near as strong hold, and it's double the price and half the volume (so it's quadruple the price Confused).

I had a look in Boots recently, I'll probably just try a semi-random wax / paste from there next time.

WastingMyYoungYears · 13/06/2014 20:50

Ooh, I don't know anything about fudge or putty.

QisforQcumber · 13/06/2014 20:52

Wow! You look great!
