Me too. I want it.. and I want it to peel NOW!

BeatriceBean · 03/07/2014 22:14

Which so isn't going to help in the bedroom department is it....!

StairsInTheNight · 03/07/2014 22:44

Cardamom, I used the same set every night for four nights!

Mine were really dry, cracked and sore before I used the socks. It seemed to soften them as JenniMoo says. Definitely don't cream them during the process!

I have ordered two more sets, one for me next time I need to use them, and one for a friend.

Honestly, I wish I had taken before and after pictures! My feet are so comfortable now, they were catching on tights, bedsheets etc before, was awful!

Houseofmaidens · 03/07/2014 23:10

Ewwwwww. That is beyond gross.
However, I will definitely try it.

PenelopeGarciasCrazyHair · 10/07/2014 10:37

Eek, why didn't I look at those pics before i bought it?!

Currently sitting avoiding housework with Footners on drinking tea and Mning, but I'm now slightly scared about the results! Will post photos.

Just realised in my eagerness to get them on that I forgot to remove my nail varnish, will my toes fall off?

notapizzaeater · 10/07/2014 10:38

Ooh I've bought the cheaper ones from amazon, will "do" them tonight

StairsInTheNight · 10/07/2014 10:55

My nail polish came off. That was quite scary.

cardamomginger · 10/07/2014 13:56

Stairs my love, you are lucky your whole foot didn't come off Grin.

I'm one week on from applying the Purederm ones (off Amazon). I've had quite a lot of flaking, but I am still looking pretty raggedy and dry. Disappointingly, I haven't had the 'whole sheets of skin peeling off' phenomenon that others have had and that I was so looking forward to!

VenusDeWillendorf · 10/07/2014 14:59

This thread needs a klaxon!

Here are the listed ingredients:
Aqua, Alcohol Denat, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Collagen, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Canola oil, Cucumis Sativus Extract, Propylene Glycol, Polydextrose, Sodium Lactate, Lactic Acid, Xanthan gum, Glycolic Acid, Methylparaben, Parfum.

Basically the lactic acid and the glycolic acid act as a chemical peel.

The rest is for moisturising, and solution thickening.

I suppose you could use it on your face and neck, but do a strip test first, leave it for a week to see what happens, and then if you go ahead leave the solution on for about 5 minutes max. and stay out of the sun for weeks

DidoTheDodo · 10/07/2014 16:28

I have loved this thread. Thank you.
I am very tempted to get footner now...

StairsInTheNight · 10/07/2014 18:27

I have another recommendation- if you enjoyed footner, try the purederm nose strips from Amazon. 3.50 gets you the pleasure of peeling off what looks like a prickly hedgehog from your nose.

I have ordered four more packs. Can't throw away the one I used, keep staring it and marvelling at what came out of my pores!

UnrelatedToElephants · 10/07/2014 18:34

I've ordered the purederm socks, nose strips and forehead and chin strips.

cardamomginger · 10/07/2014 19:52

Oooo lovely!!!

PenelopeGarciasCrazyHair · 10/07/2014 20:58

Ooh yes I love those nose strips too!

PenelopeGarciasCrazyHair · 10/07/2014 21:00

Left my footners on for 2 hours (got a bit distracted Blush ) so I should get a decent result. Nail varnish definitely went a bit odd coloured, but didn't come off, my feet were tingling a bit and when the hot shower went on the tops they stung a lot (also forgot to Vaseline the tops of my feet!)

Will report back if and when I get any good peeling.

DueOct30th · 10/07/2014 21:19

I am soooo jumping on this band wagon usually go to the nail place in my town and they use razor blades to scrape the dead skin off and feet look amazing afterwards but I can't get it done with the kids in two and can't be arsed to wait hours at the weekend. My hard skin is so minging am going to try this. If I can figure out how to upload pics I will (or is that just wrong)

PenelopeGarciasCrazyHair · 12/07/2014 21:14

Did mine on Thursday. Had a bath yesterday and soaked today in a bowl of water but not much happening yet Sad . Slight peeling but nothing worse than a bit of athlete's foot! I was really hoping for something more impressive, will it take a few more days?

On the plus side, dp is popping out to buy me a foot spa!

MsFanackerPants · 13/07/2014 01:14

I'm buying the purederm ones this week so I can do this with my dm. She is a sporner and I inherited it so I think there could be competitive grossness. I am strangely excited.

aliasjoey · 14/07/2014 14:59

Did it on Saturday (after Mumsnet reviews!)

On for 1 hour 40 minutes. Am very excited.

cardamomginger · 14/07/2014 15:31

Um... When does the flaking and peeling finally stop???

On the plus side, 3.9 year old DD is having a wonderful time picking the skin off my feet. So proud that she takes after me and is a sporner Grin.

PenelopeGarciasCrazyHair · 14/07/2014 16:37

Cardamom, mine has barely started yet Sad

I did it on Thursday, can anyone else reassure me that I haven't just wasted £20 and that something will actually happen?! There's a bit of peeling on the tops of my feet (right where I didn't need it) but the bottoms just look a bit dry, no peeling to speak of, except for one small patch on the ball of one foot, which had a 5p sized peely bit.

V disappointed so far!

cardamomginger · 14/07/2014 16:50

I did mine (Purederm not Footner) Thursday 10 days ago. Went very dry looking before the peeling started and I had a tiny little bit starting Monday last week, starting round my toes. So you sound like you could be bang on schedule. Soaking my feet or getting them really sweaty in Bikram yoga really helped get more off.

It just doesn't really seem to be ending....

Intrigued to know how stairs has got on and whether she has any feet left.

StairsInTheNight · 14/07/2014 19:34

I now have baby feet

I did purederm before and didn't scrape them in the bath and it was a sad disappointment. Imho you have to soak and scrape them to get a result.

Just letting nature take its course does not work if you have goat hooves.

cardamomginger · 14/07/2014 22:45

Relieved and pleased to hear it stairs! I have been scrubbing in the shower and used an exfoliating scrub on them last night, which has helped a bit. But now have more bits starting!! Have to see what sweating it out for an hour in Bikram yoga tomorrow does for them.

CallerIDBingo · 15/07/2014 00:10

I've had the most terrible thought - what would happen if you used Footner on your hands? Shock

Other than looking like a plague victim for a week - would it get rid of crepey hand skin? Hmm
