I really wouldn't put it on your face!! The skin on the soles of your feet is so much tougher and thicker than the delicate skin on your face. And the instructions say to protect the tops of your feet with vaseline to stop the product coming into contact with that area.

Don't do it!!!

FergusSingsTheBlues · 20/06/2014 00:33

Chroist I HATE feet?...put them awaaaaay!

FergusSingsTheBlues · 20/06/2014 00:34

Cards....it's a cheap peel though innit

spookyskeleton · 20/06/2014 07:27

At least you can hide your feet during the minging peeling stage but would you want to walk around with bits of skin hanging from your face???

cardamomginger · 20/06/2014 08:57

Doesn't matter that it is a cheap peel. If the chemicals are strong enough to make the tough and hardened skin on feet fall off in sheets, it is not at all appropriate for use on the delicate skin on the face. And you won't be able to work out how long is 'safe' on the face. Unless you are a cosmetic dermatologist or aesthetic nurse, you don't have the skill or experience, and you won't be able to 'feel' it and take it off before it becomes 'too much', because it doesn't really work like that.

Even thinking of doing this is madness.

justjuanmorebeer · 20/06/2014 21:15

It is finally working properly! good results so far just soaking feet to try and get the heels to budge. I don't feel like I totally wasted my money now

That's good news, I felt awful you'd started the thread and had rubbish results!

FreeButtonBee · 20/06/2014 22:07

Am soooo impatient. Did it last night and want the peel.

On the upside, now I,ve done it, we are due a massive heat wave in about 5 days!

tigerdriverII · 21/06/2014 09:37

Mine's working well. Not the tidy big swathes, more small areas of dryness and peel but there are big areas now of virgin skin appearing. Off for a soak in the bath shortly, hopefully some more will come off. Definitely going to be using the second pair in a couple of weeks.

CastilianHhhhidalgo · 21/06/2014 13:32

Just when I was losing hope the peeling has begun Grin Mostly around my heels and toes and small areas rather than big swathes but it's definitely working.

Snatchoo · 21/06/2014 13:54

I'm so torn between wanting gorgeous feet and not wanting the feeling when I look at those pics.

Maybe I'll try it out on DH first.

Skina · 21/06/2014 15:22

On this thread alone I am sitting on the sofa with footner on my feet. Pulling them on made me sigh with joy! Been out and about and it's really hot here; the coolness alone is worth the ££!

Fingers, or toes, crossed.

LeapingOverTheWall · 21/06/2014 15:33

I did it last night - my feet feel quite tingly today, so I'm hopeful Smile.

MrsAlwaysRight · 21/06/2014 21:26

Update - I did mine on Thursday night and spent today getting very hot sweaty feet in trainers at School Fair (apologies for TMI!). Got home and they are peeling massively! One of my toes almost unpeeled in one piece like a snake shedding it's skin - very satisfying Grin

Sleepyoto · 22/06/2014 09:42

My update - peeling has finished now, and I am very happy with the results. Feet look loads better, although there is still a bit of hard skin where the worst bits were.

My conclusion is that it will peel some layers of skin (maybe a couple?), and if you have problems that are deeper than those layers they will still be there afterwards. The tops of my feet peeled, but this skin is much thinner than on the bottom so it felt as if less came off.

Also, I didn't get round to soaking, left well alone in socks and mine came off in sheets. On the last day I soaked and rubbed gently to get the last bits off. Very satisfying!

madammecholet · 22/06/2014 18:54

Update, mine took 6-7 days to start peeling - no big sheading tho, just went very dry and I had to rub off whilst soaking. Didn't get in deep enough to do really bad cracked heels...

However, with the use of a pedegg and lots of soaking, I have whittled the cracks out - nearly.

So all in all, fabulous, baby soft feet....

StealthPolarBear · 22/06/2014 18:58

Just bought one today
sounds grim though
and what shoes are you lot all wearing as your foot falls off

FreeButtonBee · 22/06/2014 19:00
  1. Hours in Birkenstocks and the skin is sheeting off already (only did it Friday). Think I am going to be in trainers tomorrow (no work) bit sweaty but no one needs to see this action - it is gross...
justjuanmorebeer · 22/06/2014 19:00

More peeling today yay

OP posts:
tigerdriverII · 22/06/2014 20:16

Think mine have finished. I soaked in the bath every day for as long as I could. Several layers came off, the tough skin on my big toes and the ball of my foot is still there but less. I bought a second pair so will leave it a couple of weeks and redo ( they say leave three weeks between treatments). Definitely will put Vaseline on the top of my feet as that skin has peeled and didn't need to. My heels look good for once. Overall - a success.

LulaPalooza · 22/06/2014 22:11

My update:
Had minor peeling yesterday. Was starting to get impatient, because I was doing the soaking... then spent all day today on my feet in sweaty Converse (nice) and tonight they are peeling LOADS! Just soaked them and great sheets of skin came off. Had to use all my willpower not to pick.

This is the best MN recommendation EVER!

the peeling is gruesome yet immensely satisfying

Hippychickster · 23/06/2014 15:20

I did this last week and quite a lot has peeled. However, my big toes and heels are still awful and I think I should have soaked my feet more. I've bought another one to get the rest off. Has anyone else used one a week after the other? Is it OK do you think?

I'll probably just do it anyway!

StealthPolarBear · 23/06/2014 20:25

Buy another? You mean for £20 I can only ise them once??
And seriously are you lot wearing sandals and treating orhersr to the sight??

JenniMoo · 23/06/2014 21:27

My feet were only peely for 2 days and they looked ok in the day, just a bit dry, I soaked them at night and all the skin came off then. So I wasn't walking about leaving a trail of shed skin.

Northernexile · 23/06/2014 21:32

Ok, read this thread on my lunch break and am now twenty quid worse off with two plastic condoms on my feet. This had better work! I go on holiday in two weeks and my feet are hideous, full of hard, dry skin. I'm praying for a miracle. I just put my 2yo to bed and squelched/rustled all the way down the hall!
