Yep dry, the things my DM comes out with sometimes. I do love her though and do tell her off when she crosses the line.

Which reminds me, when my granny (DM's mum) was old and in the middle stages of dementia she used to sometimes use some swearwords that I would never have guessed a little old catholic grey-haired lady in her eighties would have known. It was quite shocking really but we did realise it was because she was ill.

AmberNectarine · 06/06/2014 19:07

QueenC thanks v much - it was a bit of a 'conquer your demons' post but I do really feel we should all chill out a bit!

Had a nice day, picnic in the garden followed by a trip to to zoo. Have been wearing a Pepsi print t-shirt that I think one would like (actually I think one and I would like a lot of each other's clothes) with denim cut off and white Birkenstock Arizonas. I do love the simplicity of summer dressing.

Stokey · 06/06/2014 19:57

What lovely weather. I have been wearing my first ever Boden buy, a yellow Sienna sundress. I do feel it's a little on the conservative side, but both DDS and Dh were very complimentary when I tried it on this morning so I kept it. And they sent me a box of free socks which was a surprisingly useful bonus.

Drywhiteplease · 06/06/2014 20:16

Oh my goodness....I've had a carb fest! Haven't eaten so many carbs in one sitting since 2011! I'm thinking I might wake up tomorrow and look like Betty draper post Don! Grin I've also been given some magic jelly beans that make your legs go faster and a pair of PADDED shorts..Shock Sad Sad

Sleepwhenidie · 06/06/2014 20:44

Oh you will be so glad of the padded shorts Dry Smile. Good luck!!

LinusDKD · 06/06/2014 20:51

I believe the old Tour de France cyclists used to stuff a chamois leather down their pants.

justasecond · 06/06/2014 20:53

Hello everyone, I'm back! Have been stuck under a mountain of post holiday laundry with little time to mn. I have skimmed through the last few pages and will catch up properly soon.
I obvs took too many clothes and shoes Blush I could have got away with 2/3 of it. I finally wore my sam edelman trinas which are super comfy, may get a pair of the tan ones too. My silver pointed m&s flats which I think I copied from Liberty snapped at the back after a couple of day wear, will be exchanging them as they are very comfy ang go with everything.
Dry good luck for tomorrow! carb fest sounds like me on holiday. I may have put on a kilo in a week damn that AI holiday
Fedup I love your yellow trousers, how about just a simple marl grey tshirt. I love yellow and grey together. I love this pin too. I have that floral Zara shirt in the pin and was thinking about getting yellow trousers. www.pinterest.com/pin/147141112795215000/
Linus I bought Mac Spf 50 Prep and prime at the airport and used it on holiday. It is great, not greasy and all and works really well. I used over a light moisturiser. Will use it instead of my Laura mercier primer from now on.
Marsha lovely jumper, I just love that colour.
Shop great shoes v jealous you can walk in them too!
Sorry if I have missed anyone, will be back after I have recapped.

QueenCadbury · 06/06/2014 21:04

Evening all. No fashion news whatsoever but I survived the 3 year olds birthday party Grin. All I can say, is thank you for sunshine and getting the into the garden.

justasecond · 06/06/2014 21:14

Can anyone recommend some outfit ideas for an evening wedding do I am going to with DH? I want to wear some slim trousers, possibly printed or coloured and a long sleeve top. I was planning to wear some cream cigarette trousers I got last year from Massimo Dutti but they are a bit tight now and I am a bit worried about the dreaded camel toe.
Queen how was peppa pig world?

justasecond · 06/06/2014 21:15

Oh and hello to Betty and Hampton!

hamptoncourt · 06/06/2014 21:27

Just wanted to report back on this rimmel navy seal salon pro nail polish which was an impulse buy.

I normally wear Dior or Chanel nail polish but this is really great quality for the price. A lovely shiny finish and great coverage. Very happy with it.

LinusDKD · 06/06/2014 21:34

Mmm justa maybe I could use the prep&prime over a serum so it does 't feel like I'm wearing too many layers.

Drywhiteplease · 06/06/2014 21:47

hehe

LinusDKD · 06/06/2014 21:53

Just ordered this as it's also anti-pigmentation so I hope it's nice.

Ordered it direct from the Ultrasun website as it seems it is being made here. A lot cheaper than on Space NK.

Will look out for the Mac one next time I'm in town.

libertychick · 06/06/2014 21:53

What a PITA re the shoes Justa. I love them and wore them yesterday and today. Another friend said that the elastic on one of her's is fraying after only a few wears and that quite a few people have commented on problems with them snapping on the M&S website. I think I will order another pair now just in case mine snap as I am worried they will sell out. They are fab.

Love that colour nail polish Hampton. I so want to put on some nail polish but had gel nails a couple of months ago and while I loved them taking them off absolutely wrecked my nails so I am keeping them really short and not putting anything on to give them some time to recover.

Great dresses Dry. MyTheresa is great for fantasy shopping!

Such a lovely day today - as the sun was out I wore my AV tropical print dress and got loads of compliments! If the weather stays nice I will be living it Smile

Linus Shock at your DM! Blue nail varnish got that response???? I think I'd be terrified if I met her Grin

BTW has anyone ever been able to change hardware on a bag? I have a bag I rarely use because it has gold hardware and I wondered today if it's possible to get it rhodium plated???

QueenCadbury · 06/06/2014 21:53

I love rimmel polish and have just painted this pink ready for partying tomorrow night.

just peppa pig was fabulous!

Drywhiteplease · 06/06/2014 22:01

That's lovely Qc glad the birthday party went well today

Drywhiteplease · 06/06/2014 22:09

Amber I actually think I really love you. First you introduce me to the snake skin sandals, then the Gucci, then silver pointy flats, printed pencil skirts.........now that blog post. You're so right....brilliant.

shopafrolic · 06/06/2014 22:20

Dry Don post Betty? Betty post Don? Stop with the spoilers! Good luck tomorrow xx
Liberty rub almond oil in your nails several times a day. Cheap as chips from your pharmacy and works a treat

Aw shucks dry. I actually wrote it on the plane home I felt so fired up on the subject. We women are so much more than just a set of measurements or numbers on a dial and it pains me that we forget it so readily. You wouldn't catch a man defining his self-worth by his waist size!

libertychick · 06/06/2014 22:23

Will do Shop Thanks

libertychick · 06/06/2014 22:30

Amber I have just checked out your blog and IMO that is your best post EVER. And you have a great body!

shopafrolic · 06/06/2014 22:31

Amber I was just talking about this tonight. My girlfriend and I have pledged not to suck our tummies in this holiday and to just chill. Our DHs thought we were mad "why would you even worry about that? We don't". Sometimes I wish I was a man!
Night all

justasecond · 06/06/2014 22:34

Well said Amber You are so right.
Liberty yes mine did exactly that too, the elastic frayed and snapped such a shame for a lovely pair of shoes.
Queen Glad you had a great time, we went a few weeks ago and the dc were a bit disapointed with the peppa pig part as the queues were sooo unbelievably long. They only went on 2 of the peppa rides and we waited 45 mins for each. They loved the paultons park bit though, no queues at all. Happy birthday to Mini Cadbury btw!
Would this sort of look be ok for a wedding, maybe with a pointed court shoe? www.massimodutti.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductPage?storeId=34009456&langId=-1&catalogId=30220004&categoryId=911173&productId=3577255&keyWord=CREAM%20SHIRT%20WITH%20BUTTONS&colorId=712

libertychick · 06/06/2014 22:39

That is perfect Justa.
