We're on our way, on the train. Compared with long hauling across the world with dc it is a luxury to just be. Quiet and easy.
Wearing navy pleated dress, can't remember label, Marant skinny belt and went for Marant fabric heels in the end (wearing light yellow flats to get there, will swap)

Dry was fun, only had two glasses of prosecco as it went to my head and lots of very yummy food. Was a bit indulgent. I was very casual, ie may have been wearing dh's H&M cardigan and skinnies, plus wedges but really it's easy to do that there rather than dress up.

Novice I'm sure those links are amazing will look later.

Blair yours too, welcome back! Smile

And to all holiday returners, will catch up soon.

MarshaBrady · 31/05/2014 14:39

Loads of hats, and coat ties and a bit of Chanel bag

BrandyAlexander · 31/05/2014 15:08

I am confused, where are you Marsha?Envy

LinusDKD · 31/05/2014 15:30

I think at a wedding novice. Have a great time marsha!

Impressive shopping novice as always. I think all the things you've chosen are staples that will look good for years.

I am wearing my new Jimmies today with one of my Asos v-neck tees (a pink one this morning but after we went strawberry picking I needed to put on a yellow one. DD was full of strawberry juice so she kindly put some one me).

I can really recommend the Asos tees. 100% cotton and a great price. Maybe not as nice as my favourite J Crew tees but great quality for that price.

shop I will try on my old Jimmies and if they are really too big I will send them to you. They are a 28 but maybe they will be too big for you now as well.

LinusDKD · 31/05/2014 15:35

stokey great presents from your DH! My DH wouldn't have a clue what make-up to buy for me.

I have been loving the By Terry Ombre blackstar eyeshadow sticks recently after a lot of beauty bloggers raved about them. [sheep]

I have three colours Blush but the one I use most is Brown Perfection. So easy to use and stays on for ages.

LinusDKD · 31/05/2014 15:38

these Asos tees some colours are on sale at the moment.

QueenCadbury · 31/05/2014 15:58

Hello. Back from hols and first of many loads of washing on. We only spent about 2 hours on the beach but seem to have bought half of it back in the suitcase Grin

Mr Cadbury is in a grump. It's his birthday, bloody miserable bastard! A couple of friends are coming round later so need to get sorted. Eyebrows desperately need plucking (forgot to take tweezers away), need a hair wash and decide what to wear. And to try and cheer up the birthday boy!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 31/05/2014 15:59

Morning Afternoon all

Feel so much better today after sleeping til 12, still in dressing gown now watching recorded BGT semi finals Blush

Hi fedup! Yes am coming to MU - looking forward to a good chat :)

turq I went to Vegas not NY but would love to go there next. Haven't actually worn the Gigis yet as I lost the first pair on day 1 and re-bought them on the last day!

novice oh my goodness, you're the queen of workwear! I loved all your pins when I saw them last night. The pink dress is my favourite.

Happy anniversary Stokey and DH.

Fedupnagging · 31/05/2014 16:12

Not sure who was looking at swimwear, was it you Shop? Good Housekeeping have a feature in their July issue if you are interested.

Hope Marsha and Dry are enjoying their days out.

Dh away today and tonight so was looking forward to chilling with wine, chocolate and a good romcom later. Now looks like I will be taxi driver to ds2 and 3 who are both going to parties - in different places, miles apart, natch!

Today I am wearing skinny jeans, turned up, navy and white 3/4 sleeve breton and the wedges I purchased a couple of days ago. Oh and a huge spotty scarf. I love this look.

shopafrolic · 31/05/2014 17:40

Novice Amazing shopping - love the pink dress - just beautiful. Need to spend more time reviewing.....

Morning everyone! I hope you all had lovely daysSmile Shop, hope you're feeling better. Dry, I have checked front page of the DM and you're not involved in a new scandal involving 1D so you must have behavedWink Hope Stokey had a good anniversary. Marsha, where did you go?

We had such a chilled day at home. The dcs usual Saturday activities on half term and it was sooo nice not to have to rush out at 9am. I have been really struggling with dd recently and I had this epiphany about 3 weeks ago that one reason is that ds is demanding and clingy and so she gets shoved aside by him. I have been making a more conscious effort to spend more quality time with her rather than let myself by consumed with ds and it is making a difference. So more of the same today.

Fedupnagging · 01/06/2014 08:54

Shop the article is basically showing different swimsuits/bikinis for different shapes. I don't seem to be able to find most of the nicest ones so am guessing they are either not in the shops yet or sold out.

This is the about the only nice one I could locate!

There are lots of bikinis with the 50's style bottoms. Very flattering on the right shape. I tend to wear tankinis now. GH had a figleaves one similar to this which i might have ordered if i could actually find it!

Fedupnagging · 01/06/2014 09:03

You need to scroll through the maison lejaby to get to the bikinis btw.

Flippin 'eck. This is so far removed from what I look like on the beach! Nice bikini though.
Bargain.

Just noticed on this website, not all the models are skinny - good to see.

QueenCadbury · 01/06/2014 09:09

Has anyone seen this belt irl? I'd quite like a silver belt to wear next weekend but IME the metallic usually scratches off (fossil and gap) and just wondered whether this one is likely to? I haven got a chance to go and check it out and don't want to waste postage if no good.

Or has anyone seen any other silver belts?

AmberNectarine · 01/06/2014 09:33

QueenC silver belts are hard to find. I have a DP one from a few years ago which is great, but too big for me now really. Am on the lookout for one.

I love Mara Hoffman swimwear but really I am pretty active on holiday (chasing after the kids, plus I do actually swim as I was a competitive swimmer in a former life) so I had to go for something practical which would stay where I put it. I got Sweaty Betty one, which I think strikes the right balance between practical and attractive. That and my Sophie Anderson beach bag have been my holiday heroes.

Today I am wearing silky black and white leopard print shorts from H&M, a Maje tank with black and white leopard heads from a few years ago and white Birkenstock Arizonas. I will be so sad to put jeans and a jumper on when I get home!!

MarshaBrady · 01/06/2014 09:33

Morning. The wedding was fabulous. Started at the prettiest and most impressive church, great outfits good hats, funny vicar- is that a thing now to be quite funny as a vicar? Grin then to marquet in a field. Lots of flowers, music amazing food. Seafood and deli, then dinner later.

Outfits good, dh wore a summer pale suit and it was noted we looked like we must be from London (I'll take that as a positive Grin)

I imagine people stayed up all night but we got the 11pm train home and it's nice to be sitting in a sunny garden this morning instead if on trains.

Ok that's my wedding report, big wave to all am going to catch up.

MarshaBrady · 01/06/2014 09:36

Novice to a cousin's wedding, lots of English and a few French family that I don't see as much as I really should as we all live here in the UK. It was wonderful to see them. Loads of their friends there, was very fun.

MarshaBrady · 01/06/2014 09:46

And I temporarily forgot how to spell marque of course

Drywhiteplease · 01/06/2014 10:33

Morning!
Rather deaf at the moment, please speak up.
shop I tried shouting your number but Harry couldn't hear me over the screeching 65,000 crowd . Harry was wearing some rather unusual heard gear, kind of a cross between a turban and a hair band, poor boy Grin. Great fun.
Shopping was great...was so sensible, but almost cracked when I tried. On my dream Chanel sunnies....also saw
this bag which was lovely, but too impractical for me I'm so boring thought of Linus

BrandyAlexander · 01/06/2014 11:56

sounds fantastic Marsha! For the first time in about 15 years we have no wedding to attend this summer.

the weather is odd, really hot when the sun is out but chilly when it's notConfused

BrandyAlexander · 01/06/2014 11:58

agree with you Dry that bag is lovely. especially that colour. someone linked a Marc Jacobs bag recently that I meant to say was lushSmile

QueenCadbury · 01/06/2014 12:20

Joy of joys. Im stuck in aldi car park with a flat tyre. Luckily dh is coming to rescue me!

Stokey · 01/06/2014 15:59

Thanks for anniversary thoughts - we went for dinner at a pub in Hampstead and think I saw Chris Martin (but didn't want to stare so not 100%).

Saw a girl on the train wearing a lovely black shift silk mini dress with some leopardskin slippers, she looked great and made me think slippers may be a good investment, comfier than ballet flats I think.

For those of you with DC, there is a Vertbaudet dale on which ends tonight. Got some pretty duvet covers for the DDs for £14.50 each.

Wedding sounds fun Marsha , I keep thinking ours will dry up but have been pootling along at a couple a year for the last few years after the excesses of the naughties.
