I checked my BMI and I'm still within a healthy range. I may as well see if I can keep it off (and I have some jeans and chinos that will still fit me if I put 5/6 lbs back on). All of the straight legs and bootlegs look strange - too used to skinnies now I think.

Very disappointed to miss the live bag opening; very exciting for a Monday morning. Lovely bag though.

Am now finally sitting in the sun after a few hours day at work wearing a green and white stripey t shirt dress. No idea of the make as no label and bought it in Turkey a few years ago.

As no one commented on my parrot skirt yesterday, do I take it that it's awful? Is my judgement skewed? I might have had a glass of wine at the time....

I happen to have a pair of those Hush shorts in a 10 at the moment shop - am planning to return. Could we do some sort of deal with Hush CS so you get them??

Fedup I think I like the parrot skirt, although I'd probably prefer to see it a little more pencil like e.g. a little slimmer at the bottom. How will you style it?

Yes it is a little A line but it will be taken up a bit which takes some of the width out. Style wise, I have tried it on with pink, white and navy t's, (half untucked sort of thing), navy boden pointy slingbacks and nude hobbs suede wedges and all looked nice.

Actually, the half untucked look - does anyone else end up looking like they struggle to dress themselves or is it just me?

Thanks shop and QueenC. Yes scarf sounds good, I've got a Becksondergaard cotton one which will be nice on the plane too. Cardigan would be handy but I wanted something that went with everything... will have to have a think.

shop just sell them all while you're ebaying the other things anyway, it's only worth keeping things you wear lots or love. Trousers and jeans are the least forgiving thing when it comes to weight changes :/

this arrived today and I have to say I really like them.

I saw them on a few blogs but they were always worn by people in their early twenties so I was worried they were a bit too trendy for me. Maybe they are, but I still like them as they are a change from my normal Leigh skinnies.

The MiH tee arrived from the Outnet and is nice as well so all in all a successful day.

shop keep any that you can imagine wearing again for now just in case and eBay the rest. I found a pair of long and lean from fall 08 in my wardrobe yesterday that I'd forgotten I'd held onto. They look dreadful and they were my favourite jeans. Just hoping they didn't look too awful at the time!

Parrot skirt. Ordered on a whim as not my usual style but actually really like it.

Blair, a jacket may be too heavy but a pashmina or little cardigan would be good. Cream goes with most things. Of course, you could have a little look for something when you are there. Hope you have a fab time and look forward to your 'notes'.

secretSq I have to say that my R and B quailty nude ballets have been a great investment. V comfy, look new after a lot of wear last summer. Would recommend.

In a meeting the other day, when it was announced we were taking the whole school on a day out to the beach beyond exciting...I love the beach I said "ooooh brilliant, I've just bought a beach cover up!" Innappropriate, forgot that I wasn't on MNV, was kind of joking, collegues just stared at me....

Which is why I love it on here...I can say stupid fashion things and you all get it.

Marsha I have started Breaking Bad as well, partly due to the hype and partly as DH is away this week and he has already seen it. I am only two episodes in and remembering why I didn't persevere last time (the gore! And for some reason I was expecting a comedy ).

Queen I hold onto things as well, especially jeans, thinking that will come back, but then they look hideous and I wonder if they were as hideous at the time. Or else I finally get rid of something and then desperately wish I still had it (BR khaki combats which were too big, and then I read that these are just the thing worn slouchy and belted).

Blair I am planning holiday packing too. Your list sounds good, I think I have to whittle mine down a bit. I will have both a cashmere cardi and scarf on the plane. I will also pack a hold all within my suitcase in case I need extra space on the way home .

Bloody dishwasher just packed up and flooded the kitchen floor. I am drinking pink champagne.

Oh no Shop! There's an opened bottling of sparkling pink rosé from last night that has my name all over it.

Hello! Have not been put under the patio of shame, but can't quite type the words too cringe-inducing . Luckily I didn't blush as it would have been game over, or laugh. Just don't react and pretend it didn't happen is the key I think!
