Let's talk workwear. Maybe a little bit of non workwear fashion chat, too.

My blog is at theworkwearedit.com but our chat goes above and beyond that.

If there is more money to spend, I've always fancied a Max Mara coat, too.

I'm totally sold on pointed flats if it's flats you want. I won't be buying ballerinas again, I don't think. I have slippers, but they are too hot for summer.

I know, it's not at all sensible. I only have one posh bag but it's an everyday bag not a work one.

Not sure what the attraction is really, probably all marketing.

BillStickersIsInnocent · 16/05/2014 22:26

Yes! I love pointed flats. My aldo ones have died and I'm desperate for more. They were perfect, pointed, slight hidden wedge a la lanvin. And very comfy.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 16/05/2014 22:28

Aldo are doing a pointed flat again this season (I saw them this evening, and the style starts w C [forgetful]), but they are totally flat - no wedge.

I keep umming and ahhing over whether to get an expensive bag. I just not sure it's worth it to me, although Anya's Gracie still stops me in my tracks.

I have the mini Gracie Belinda, it's lovely.

CointreauVersial · 17/05/2014 00:22

I'm definitely in the market for a pointy flat.

I've heard there are some good ones at Matalan, but I have to drive a bit to get to one.

EduardoBarcelona · 17/05/2014 05:32

I'm not in the market for a pointy flat. Ankles too SKINY. Will look like twig woman

KosherBacon · 17/05/2014 06:28

I'd love a maxmara coat. I obsessively stalk eBay for the perfect one that I can get at a steal. I still haven't found it though .

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 09:04

Yep. I look awful in pointy shoes too. Skinny ankles, little feet, big boobs, pointy shoes - like a cherry on a cocktail stick.

noddyholder · 17/05/2014 09:25

Grin Remus same here too spindly

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 17/05/2014 09:32

I have skinny ankles, thin legs, long feet. But what flat shoe IS going to look ideal w that combo?

OP posts:
EduardoBarcelona · 17/05/2014 09:47

A chunky one? Hey Remus. Have the gap skinny cargos on today. With flip flops. ;)

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 17/05/2014 09:55

I think I look best in heels, but that's just not always practical. Damn the nerve endings in my feet!!!

Loafer slipper type don't have the same chicken effect ime.

noddyholder · 17/05/2014 10:08

I look best in boots or scrappy flats

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 17/05/2014 11:04

I wear slippers with trousers, but prefer other, lower cut flats for when I wear knee length skirts. I used to wear round toe flats, but now I prefer pointed flats. No wonder I have so many shoes, which is actually an achievement given how fussy I am Grin.

I do wear round toe flats but they look a bit dated at the moment. Almond toes might be a good compromise.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 13:15

Just bought mega high Autograph suede shoes. Can't find online but v nice.

EduardoBarcelona · 17/05/2014 13:32

Describe

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/05/2014 13:34

Erm. Very high. Suede. Black. Tiny leather triangle bit at the back. Nice.

EduardoBarcelona · 17/05/2014 13:36

i might wheel out the cage shoes ce soir

CointreauVersial · 17/05/2014 13:54

Get you lot with your skinny ankles. I have wide feet with lovely bunions. Shoes in general are a challenge, so I don't even go near narrow-foot places like Zara. I have no idea if pointy flats will work on me, but worth a try.

Heels for work, though. It doesn't feel right to be in the office in flat shoes.
