Let's talk workwear. Maybe a little bit of non workwear fashion chat, too.

My blog is at theworkwearedit.com but our chat goes above and beyond that.

YUP
i am. I am Waiting For Mango

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/05/2014 20:02

Stupid Mango. This is why I cba with online!

maybemyrtle · 14/05/2014 20:12

This thread moves so quickly! Catching up - I like that Mango jacket (quilted one). Mango do nice prints.

Yes my postman has left deliveries in the recycling bin too - makes me nervous they'll do it on collection day.

Wore 10 denier nude popsocks yesterday with pointy flats that won't go with bare feet and it felt great Grin

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 14/05/2014 20:13

Bill - ah, it's the SHANGHAI blazer that is part of the £70 suit. It's not the most deluxe, I admit, but I think it's excellent value and a flattering shape. I have it in stone and wore it on the public holiday. On day we just had, w a printed silk tee and skinnies, and nude pointed flats. I've also worn it w a leopard print top, too. That CAFE quilted jacket is so nice, but the colours don't work for me. And not sure the style really suits me, either. Or maybe I just need to get used to the boho thing.

Ed - I do love a little yellow, but no poly for me. I can't be the only person who found themselves sweating in synthetics, esp as they age?

Stokey - I can only wear skirts that flare out below the hips, else I look too big. I love big skirts, but they are [channels Run DMC] "tricky, tricky, tricky. I will do a post on non pencil skirts soon, as I do love a fuller skirt, when I find one that works on me.

i swear when I teach sometimes - esp in a rush from one lesson to another

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 14/05/2014 20:36

Quick one... Gap has 29% off until midnight and Banana Republic have 30% off selected items (inc some shoes which inc the Allegra pointed flats I want. I will still go in store tomorrow, though, as I think I will also get the Giah silver mid heels)

Swear or sweat, Ed? Or both?!

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 14/05/2014 20:40

lol SWEAT

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/05/2014 20:43

I frequently do both, when running from class to class. I DETEST not having my own room.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 14/05/2014 20:53

Oh, I genuinely thought you were cussing at work and was a bit Confused about you coming on to say that.

I wore a polyester top the other week. The colour of that top is glorious (thus why I haven't binned it), but I was walking briskly and started to feel uncomfortable in it almost instantly. I had worn silk the day before, and felt fine all day.

i have my own - my very own portakabin chic

Like rocking the Romany look Wink

lurkingaround · 14/05/2014 21:11

Skirt is lovely on you Stokey.

mirpuppet · 14/05/2014 21:11

Belinda thanks for your views on BR jewelry. I agree fake gold is not a good look and I find many of their necklaces heavy. But BR have good sales so I may peek at the necklaces again. I will also check out ZARA.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 14/05/2014 22:17

The seven seas necklace that I thought was lovely is down to £41, and the sparkly one like the Zara one I mentioned up thread (the Zara necklace that Kate Middleton wore to an evening function) is also reduced, too. I don't mind necklaces being physically heavy, but I do mind them feeling plasticky and junky, so that's what I am always looking to avoid when looking at jewellery.

Sorry, yes Stokey - that skirt does look good on you. Was just sympathising w how hard a full skirt can be to find.

Which Zara necklace? I'm on the look out for something new.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 15/05/2014 07:01

K Middleton has this Zara necklace. It's sold out, but maybe you could find it in store. Else, BR are doing a similar one that's 30% off at the mo'.

I'm thinking of getting the Seven Seas necklace. What would you wear it with?

Just popping in to say hello! I have been following the threads but have not had the chance to contribute. I think it might have something to do with all funds going towards DC and house refurb at the moment - so all my shop visits are virtual! Belinda, I love your blog and site and have been following it with interest since you first wrote about it here.
I need a bit of a wardrobe refresh so I was going to put in an order for that lovely mint green Zara jacket. Anything else you have spotted at Zara? They seem to have sold out of anything that I have spotted so far...

Stokey · 15/05/2014 09:42

Zara seem to have just got a load of new stuff in as I walked past their window yesterday as have Mango.

Thanks for the compliments about my skirt [thanks}- actually I agree with Remus, it looked better when i had a jumper over the top pulling it in a bit. But then you get in to that whole big boobs near the waist thing - God dressing in difficult.

I'm working at home today, wearing a maxi skirt which I love - can we get away with Maxis for work?

I wore this midi dress earlier in the week 9with a top underneath) and got a few compliments one it, so was wondering if I can go longer.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 15/05/2014 09:43

Ed - you don't wear necklaces?

Here's a selfie of today's Zara necklace.
