Let's talk workwear. Maybe a little bit of non workwear fashion chat, too.

My blog is at theworkwearedit.com but our chat goes above and beyond that.

The cut and quality of that blazer is beautiful. I tried the yellow and was too pale for me otherwise I would have kept it.

peach
BLEH

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 22/05/2014 06:02

I love peach, but not on blondie me. George Clooney's gf, Amal A, looks perfect in those sorts of colours.

I think this is the H&M skirt I tried on. It comes to my knee, and I'm avg height. Just how tall is this model? tablet.hm.com/gb/product/19184?article=19184-B

Seems like there is a small sale at LKB at present. Pretty pointy flats around the £100 (rather than £180) mark if anyone is feeling flush

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 22/05/2014 16:50

Is it in store? I can't see it online

OP posts:
Stokey · 22/05/2014 16:59

Online too Belinda

There is a "sale" button at the top of the website & if you click on that you see some discounts

Ponks · 22/05/2014 22:30

Also 25% off a lot of the new stock at Hobbs this weekend, and some big reductions at Jaeger too if anyone likes work clothes from there.

(Hello BTW Smile, have been following this thread with interest as need inspiration re work clothes - love your blog Belinda)

EduardoBarcelona · 23/05/2014 07:01

It's non uniform day at work. I'm in the bath. Pondering

BillStickersIsInnocent · 23/05/2014 07:23

Thanks Ponks, I love Jaegar and have some stuff from there that's lasted really well.

Ed - do you like no uniform/dress down days? I've just come back from a conference in a field - clothes were really tricky to get right.

EduardoBarcelona · 23/05/2014 10:08

I do when you don't have to factor in torrential rain

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 23/05/2014 11:17

Hi Ponks, and thank you. Smile

Oh Bill outdoor grass events really call for flats and wedges, which is v annoying as the only heel I REALLY like is a stiletto one.

Belinda are you planning to feature Uniqlo on your review-a-shop blog section? I was wearing a Uniqlo (ordinary range) silk T shirt the other day that a friend who works in very high end fashion admired greatly - she thought it looked really expensive, and it's already been washed a number of times.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 23/05/2014 13:37

I have a couple of photos from Uniqlo, but your post has reminded me, Bearleigh that I need to go to a well stocked branch and do a trying on session. Will do - thanks! And well done on finding such a lovely sounding top.

Btw 2 of my best belts have come from Uniqlo - definitely somewhere to look for belts. Am wearing a Heattech cami today: such a wonder product. It pills v quickly, but for layering to keep warm, it's the best.

Actually, would stacked / chunky heels be Ok For outdoor grass events, do we think??

OP posts:
Stokey · 23/05/2014 14:48

They are better than stilettos as they don't sink into the grass. I've destroyed countless pairs of held at marquee style weddings Angry

I got married somewhere hot, no sinky ground in sight, so could wear 5" heels

Stokey · 23/05/2014 14:49

That should be heels obv... Silly predictive text

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 23/05/2014 16:08

I also got married somewhere hot (Sydney) where the ground is dry and heel friendly. How considerate of me, for my guests!

I think anything other than stilettos/kitten heels are fine. Stilettos often a no no at many historic venues too.

My event was very casual, trainers and wellies, so no real issues.

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/05/2014 20:29

Im really looking forward to finally being able to go in a uniqlo store!

2 weeks til my Bluewater trip :)

LaTrucha · 24/05/2014 09:22

JK54 gives 30% off at Baukjen today. Apparently they are doing a new offer every day for the next 4 days, so if you've got your eye on something, sign up for their emails.

Still very expensive though!

EduardoBarcelona · 24/05/2014 09:58

it IS expensive for a bit of stretch viscose

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 24/05/2014 10:03

I don't own anything from Baukjen, but it always looks good. Just so expensive.
