Anthropologie? Boden?

Stokey · 09/05/2014 15:13

Have you had a look on Etsy QueenC ? For something a little quirky, I like Tatty Devine. And Belinda on theworkwear edit just did a blog on high street statement jewellery.

Loving all the previous decades talk. I was a student in the early 90s too, heavily India-influenced hippy skirts & dresses with DMs or trainers. I was at Edinburgh but had mates at Manchester too Shop, insane nights out there.

Think am really a hippy at heart so would have to go for the late 60s as my era of choice. Flowers in my hair and long skirts.

Secretsquirrel13 · 09/05/2014 15:18

QueenC zara?

Sleepwhenidie · 09/05/2014 15:43

QueenC have you looked at Bottica?

libertychick · 09/05/2014 15:44

QueenC Other Stories have some nice jewellery too

Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2014 15:47

Ooooh I'd have loved to be around in the late 50s and dress like Betty love the lipstick! The eyeliner! The stiff hair! The tiny waists! I'd have twirled around and wafted through the house work in my kitten heels

Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2014 15:48

I adore this style

Grin at Dry. Don't you waft through the housework in your kitten heels anyway??? That look in your second pin is fantastic.

MarshaBrady · 09/05/2014 16:57

Oh isn't that gorgeous. Well-chosen Dry.

Everyone is spot on!

Santa can really see you doing 80s.

Love your dm's shopping Linus! Those flats are fab. But don't worry all the young'uns are getting into Chanel, Cara wotsit etc

Cool Sleep glad you thought so too!

Liberty I love that image of you on a bike drinking guinness. I used to drink so much beer and eat so many packets of crisps. I wish I could do that now with the same waist. Oh and I rode around Melbourne on a bike everywhere, I remember riding home after waitressing at 1am and the lovely quiet streets. Often my favourite thing.

Stokey and everyone it really takes me back, that fashion love it.

QueenC lots of good ones mentioned, will have a think.

I need an era outside the one I lived in. Perhaps louche and 70s but not too hippychick. Will see if I can find anything.

MarshaBrady · 09/05/2014 17:10

I'd happily settle for a bit of Francoise Hardy naturalness and Chloe advert 70s gloss.

shopafrolic · 09/05/2014 17:30

Dry I just realised I never posted that other tee - will sort this weekend x

Topazandpearl · 09/05/2014 18:16

I was a Guinness drinking Dublin uni student too Liberty, but in the 80s not the 90s. I seem to remember lots of slouchy knitwear in bright colours, though I avoided the Fame uniform of leg warmers with everything. There were a lot of bad hairstyles too (I can hardly imagine life before BBH and straighteners!) I was at Trinity, were you?

libertychick · 09/05/2014 19:28

Topaz I was in UCD with the rest of the cullchies! O'Neill's in Suffolk St was my favourite bar and Whelan's on Wexford St for big nights out.

80's hair was hilarious.

Marsha you definitely have a bit of a Francoise Hardy thing going on.

QueenCadbury · 09/05/2014 19:31

I'm pissed Grin. Pizza and prosecco after school Smile

If I could have lived in any era it would be the 20s. Love the dresses, the dolly shoes, the hair, cloche hats, everything.

Secretsquirrel13 · 09/05/2014 19:37

50s and early 60s for me. Swirly skirts with inched in waists.

LinusDKD · 09/05/2014 19:48

Classic Gabrielle Chanel for me, or maybe ancient Greek or ancient Roman draped toga style dresses nipped in at the waist.

MarshaBrady · 09/05/2014 19:50

Love the imagery. So elegant!

Liberty I just re-read my post to you and it sounds as if you're drinking guinness on the bike. I'm sure we both weren't that bad Grin

LinusDKD · 09/05/2014 19:50

Or maybe that's just the bubbles talking. Wink

Secretsquirrel13 · 09/05/2014 20:10

Linus I would love an old lady bag!

Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2014 20:24

Would that be " kids' tea?" QueenC?!!!!!Wink

I've just been for early doors with work collegues.....lasted 1.45 hr cost me £1.45 Hmm have NEVER had a "drink" like it LOL!!!!! onto second glass of Chablis to make up for it

Drywhiteplease · 09/05/2014 20:32

Fit is different to the fan print, bigger on the waist (gapes a bit) and well below the knee but looks fab with these and this.....CPW in minus numbers by now

Now Liberty, I had assumed with your name that you were a Dubliner! My fave pub was Kennedy's on Lincoln Place, followed by the Bad Ass Cafe when we got hungry. Good memories.

Great skirt Dry!
