Help me get perfect arms in six weeks please

That's it really - got a big party to go to and would like to wear a sleeveless dress for once. I'm skinny-flabby - look thin in clothes but have a paunch, a saggy bum and really out of proportion bingo wings. (Nice!)

Have read lots about Tracy Anderson - should I do with or without weights, or both? Anything else? Am hopeless at push-ups, should I persevere?

Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zones, you'll need weights but it will sort out all the things you've mentioned if you do it at least 5 times a week.

I had the One Fifty Dips app on my phone last year which was quite good. I definitely saw a small difference in my arms combined with a diet and C25K.

If you don't have a smart phone then this website has the same info.

In addition to exercise and diet try "dry brushing" as well, helps the lymph move along!

I could have written your OP! My arms covered up don't look too bad but bare they look like they belong on another body waaaay too big :( hopefully some tips here will help- I've been doing the weigh over the headx150 daily plus push ups x 20 and arm dips x20 no joy yet- while slight improvement but nowhere near sleeveless :(

I too suggest dry brushing, definitely helps.
You can do push-ups against a wall

Carole Maggio's no lipo-lipo massage would help all over with saggy bits.

I have to do something as well. My arms were quite acceptable just a few months ago but after a lazy winter and having let myself go completely they are not looking too great

Tracy Anderson is great for arms.
There's a series with weights and one without. You need both, if you can make it through.
It's a killer.
And not a single push up.

Honestly, get thee to a gym. Explain what you want to achieve and they'll do their best to get you there. Weights, stretches ect are all good but without being shown properly how to do them it's a bit hit and miss.

Google shred with weights - it's free on YouTube (whole workout). It's with kettle bells. My arms firmed up really quickly!

I'll endorse Tracy Anderson. I did a big weight loss push for my wedding, doing spinning/running and shred for all over work and did tricep dips and both arm sections of Tracy Anderson for the arms. You feel like a fool doing it, her pouting is annoying, but I swear by it (have just started again for summer season - I should never have stopped!).

You need to use weights of some kind. Kettle bells are great.

Yes you need weights. The heavier the better. Buy a set of dumbells and follow a routine, tricep kick backs, tricep dips and curls are what you should focus on.
Don't be scared of heavy weights. They'll tone you up faster then a pretty pink 1 kg barbell!

And you should do squats and lunges for your bum.

My experience is that using weights does tone up the arms but also makes them look bulkier which wasn't the look I wanted. I found, after years of trying to get my arms slimmer and toned, that Tracey Anderson really works. She uses no or very light weights and the results are amazing. You can get an idea from YouTube of some of the workouts.

As said above Body Pump classes if you have any near you. I aim for 2 BP classes a week and i can SEE the difference Smile

Ok, thanks everyone, I've got some weights and am going to try and do both Tracy Anderson workouts every day, let's see what happens.

If I get my arms in shape, I might be motivated to do something about my stomach and bottom!
