Good legs, flabby tum, muffin top, bingo wings.

Love chinos, never found a pair that fit though! But really need help styling the top half, I live in V neck jumpers.

Classic dresser, 36 fave colour black Grin dark hair, cool fair skin blue eyes..

Can someone help me please?

A football shirt or a tracksuit.

That's what everyone was wearing when I went there.

SomeLikeItChilliHot · 19/04/2014 19:12

Lol @ Pag Grin

Tiggywinklespinny · 19/04/2014 20:06

Anything! It really doesn't matter, just whatever you are comfortable in, literally.
You do see people all dolled up & clean lookin- they look odd! Everyone else is in shorts/ jeans/ track suit bottoms & tshirts.

I though this thread was going to be about what to wear in the pool. And don't worry as there is every body shape & size. It just makes you realise how normal people look. Ie not skinny or tanned.

VivaLeBeaver · 19/04/2014 20:12

Its very casual. There's a lot of Joules type tops or Breton tops, paired with either jeans or black joggers.

Tiggywinklespinny · 19/04/2014 20:13

It sounds horrendous..I think suddenly I'm too unwell to travel

VivaLeBeaver · 19/04/2014 20:14

What, it sounds horrendous because people aren't dressed up?

Its swimming and cycling while sleeping in a cabin in the woods. Grin

GretaGip · 19/04/2014 20:15

I've heard lube is essential for CP.

Tiggywinklespinny · 19/04/2014 20:21

Will I need more than 1 tube Greta..is it for dh?

OP posts:
VivaLeBeaver · 19/04/2014 20:25

Whether you need more than one tube of lube depends how much you like your dh.

GretaGip · 19/04/2014 20:27

Have you perked upfrom your illness now? Wink

Tiggywinklespinny · 19/04/2014 20:27

Hope it doesn't rain! Grin

I'm an apple. I just bought some boyfriend jeans from mint velvet and they look reasonably flattering. I've got some floaty tops from french connection but do like a breton. The Boden ones are good.

Pagwatch · 19/04/2014 21:41

I'm sorry.
Yes, everyone was dressed mostly in Prada with occasional Hillfiger for a dress down lunch.
Go with that. Certainly Missoni woud be over doing it.

DarylDixonsDarlin · 19/04/2014 23:17

Oh dear! I was wondering the same actually OP.

I am not impressed to hear there are lots of tracksuit bottoms Confused i hope that was just the ladies, i cannot fucking abide the sight of men in jogging bottoms jiggling their goods around for all to see

Do 'naice' items of clothing/shoes/prams etc go walkies if you leave them unattended, anyone know?

Justgotosleepnow · 19/04/2014 23:26

I've never encountered stealing at CP. Wow how judgy.
Has it occurred to anyone that a person might wear track suit bottoms because they are doing sports? Not sitting around bitching on mumsnet.
Jeez people Confused

RonaldMcDonald · 20/04/2014 03:04

i never wear tracksuit bottoms
EVER

i would respectfully suggest that most who do haven't seen the pointy end of sport in a long while

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/04/2014 07:42

I went once a long time ago. Despite the comments on here - everyone was dressed pretty normally - jeans etc.

Its casual though so I wouldn't bother packing your best stuff.

VivaLeBeaver · 20/04/2014 08:00

The people I saw wearing sports clothing seemed to be doing sports, so either cycling, heading to the courts with rackets, etc or walking up to the pool.

I probably wear sports gear a fair amount of the time that I'm there as I'll be doing sports.

The changing rooms have lockers and I've never heard of anything getting pinched apart from bikes.

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/04/2014 08:04

CP is pretty expensive isn't it? Am intrigued with how some of these comments are implying its full of thieves and people in football tops.

QueenCadbury · 20/04/2014 08:19

I've been to CP loads of times. It is very casual and there is no need to dress up (unless you want to). Most people cycle around the village and therefore wear jogging bottoms (myself included) or jeans and trainers. I also wear a fleece . Much easier throwing it in the swimming pool locker than a jacket.

I've never heard of stealing there and have taken a buggy loads of times. As someone else said they do recommend locking bikes though.

dipitydoyou · 20/04/2014 08:44

We went when DD was small we mainly swam all day so was in swimwear mostly! But yes very casual.

I took a buggy, it did not get stolen. I don't recall seeing anyone in a football shirt either Confused

Cherrypie32 · 20/04/2014 09:00

We go to Butlins quite regularly and despite the fact it is cheaper than CP we have never had anything stolen, who'd have thought.

Pagwatch · 20/04/2014 10:14
Blush

Hello. I'm sorry - I was being a massive twat last night. Please forgive me.

Honestly. When we went - although it was about 8 and 9 years ago - it was mostly people in football shirts and tracksuits. I was surprsed that there was a stag group there too.
Most of the people I met were perfectly nice, it's just absolutely not a place where I would feel any inclination to dress up at all. But thats fine on an activity holiday isn't it?

The only dressing up I would have envisaged was for eating out and tbh the food is the worst thing about the place and the reason we don't go back. I don't go away to have to cook all the time.

Wear whatever is comfortable for walking, cycling etc.

Skivvysue · 20/04/2014 10:22

We go every year in January. I'm an apple and my legs are prob my best asset. I wore tunics from rocha and mantaray at debs with Jeggings and I have lots of Joules polo tops which I wear with my jeans which are Hilfigger. My swimmies are tankinis from frost French. We went to the Indian a couple nights for tea and I just put eveni g make up on with a wee floaty top and jeans. I know in January there are no stag parties, or we haven't seen them. A few rugger tops but don't remember seeing football tops unless on the kids. Lots of ladies in walking trousers and the like. Never any theft we knew off.
