fedup there's no pressure to look any kind of way at MU. Do come, everyone is lovely, you'll have a great time, I promise Smile

Annianni · 20/03/2014 09:17

What happened to Birmingham? Sad

MarshaBrady · 20/03/2014 09:17

Mara and Fedup brilliant.

Blair it would've been great to meet you too, are you sure you can't re-arrange a few birthdays Wink. I know, probably not but next time for sure.

QueenCadbury · 20/03/2014 09:36

anni sorry lovely but London seemed to be more popular. Can you not get a train to London or is it too far in a day? dry did a 6 h round trip last time just for lunch.

Stokey · 20/03/2014 10:03

Meet-up sounds fun, can't be too sad I'll miss it as I'll be having kids-free fun in Ibiza. Slightly scared by how mad a load of 40 yr olds without their children will get over a weekend!

Having to return some MIH jeans to The Outnet and a bit shocked by their refund policy - they deduct £8 for the return, will carefully consider buying anything else from there.

Annianni · 20/03/2014 10:30

I would have driven to Birmingham Queenc.
I'll do London another time.

I don't think it's too bad Stokey, there's loads of places who charge £4 for delivery, and then you pay more than that to return items at the post office.

They refund your original postage charge I think

Annianni · 20/03/2014 10:33

Now Donna Ida in the sale is a scary place to order from

I think I paid £5 delivery but then £12 for special delivery to cover the cost of sending £££ jeans back.

AmberNectarine · 20/03/2014 10:35

Ooh, can I come? I'm determined to actually meet you all!

Linus yes I wore it last night for drinks with some super short shorts and opaques and really liked wearing it. It's pretty white, much better than most.

shopafrolic · 20/03/2014 11:26

Marsha fab dresses you know where today - some Saloni that looks good....

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 20/03/2014 11:39

Off to my local LK Bennett this afternoon to look at these. They had one pair left in my size so figured I should go and take a look. If they don't work then I'll head for J Crew on Saturday........

OP posts:
Stokey · 20/03/2014 12:05

Actually when you put it like that - not too bad Anni

Has anyone got anything by Issa , specifically their wrap dresses? Any idea what the sizing is like? I take a 4 in dVF so think 8?

Have a wedding next month and considering this or this, although it looks a bit lowcut.

Like this Saloni one too Shop

MarshaBrady · 20/03/2014 12:38

Shop thanks for the tip.

I was >< close to ordering a Saloni, but I remember trying one on in Matches a couple of years ago - probably same one - and it didn't look great. Think it's the draping part, which is a shame, as I would love it as colours are lovely otherwise.

Stokey I don't have any Issa, but sounds about right to me.

Yep Amber of course.

Anni I agree I was gobsmacked at the price to send back Donna Ida sale jeans.

shopafrolic · 20/03/2014 12:40

Did you see the pencil skirt? Floral? Nice alternative maybe?

shopafrolic · 20/03/2014 12:40

MarshaBrady · 20/03/2014 12:44

Oh yes that is pretty. Although I worry about the unforgiving nature of silk! Does anyone else find silk difficult?

shopafrolic · 20/03/2014 12:45

Stokey I love the second one but yes, you'd need tape Grin

Helloooo all

Had such a busy day yesterday I couldn't post! London shopping trip with my sister (bought these culottes which I'm wearing today with M&S spot shirt and black heels) and then out with friends in the evening to see Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake which was lovely.

Thanks for thinking of me re meet up Marsha, it is unlikely I can make the 5th but I'll join the reserve list :) Maybe there'll be a mini MU I can do instead some other time before the next big one, as I'm near London after all. Such a shame though!

Shop you're probably sick of thinking about gold shoes but I did see very similar ones to the J crew pair in Aldo yesterday and thought of you.

Beautiful dresses Stokey love the prints, can't help with sizing sorry.

shopafrolic · 20/03/2014 13:46

I head up to London every 6-8 wks for hair appointment so am always up for a mini MU pre July 5.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 20/03/2014 13:49

Apparently LKB don't do refunds on sale items so I need to be 100% sure this afternoon before I buy. Are any of you around at 3ish to give me some feedback?

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/03/2014 13:58

shop I should be. But if the J crew ones are the ones you love, then I think I'd get them if I were you and just wear different shoes to the first wedding. They're £50 cheaper and will still look good at Christmas so you'll be able to wear them again! Just my $0.02 Grin

Drywhiteplease · 20/03/2014 14:00

but I'm a bit bonkers QC normal people don't do that sort of thing

shopafrolic · 20/03/2014 14:01

The original J Crew ones you Pinned won't be here in time and have now disappeared completely from the website, they aren't stocked in Regent's St. The other J Crew ones are £200+, which is why I need to at least take a look at the LKB ones I think.......

OP posts:
justasecond · 20/03/2014 14:10

I really like those LKb ones Shop they were my faves.
Blair you day with your sister sounds lovely, I used to love shopping days with mine and the culottes are fab!
I would love to come to a MU soon but unfortunately can't do 5th July as it is Ramadan. Will try my best for the next one though!

QueenCadbury · 20/03/2014 14:28

Right voguettes, just popping in to bid you farewell for a few days. Hope I've packed suitable attire but if not it's too late now. Catch you all next week x
