QueenC I'm surprised at how relieved I am to have the yohji dark green jacket. Hip length, not too structured. I used to do a mac but I much prefer this.

QueenCadbury · 16/03/2014 21:49

I love this jacket although sadly massively over budget

QueenCadbury · 16/03/2014 21:51

My dh has been away this weekend but as dm was down the dc and I didn't miss him too much. I'm getting a little apprehensive about being say for 4 nights next weekend.

QueenCadbury · 16/03/2014 21:55

I can imagine shop in this

shopafrolic · 17/03/2014 08:05

Morning all! Hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine, won't last much longer by the looks of things.
My DB was visiting this weekend from Holland. Nice to catch up.
Rough night last night as DH got taken to hospital by ambulance with severe abdominal pain. I had to stay home with DS - felt really helpless. Anyway, he's home now, and sleeping. V scary.
Novice did you see my PM about the top?

MarshaBrady · 17/03/2014 08:08

Oh no Shop, is he ok? Did they say what it was? Must have been scary.

MarshaBrady · 17/03/2014 08:24

Phew finally dh said he'd come to wedding, just need to check on GPs.

Now I need a dress, shame the MaxMara one is white I'd love to wear that otherwise.

shopafrolic · 17/03/2014 08:59

Blockage in his gut Marsha - ended up on a morphine drip and is now out cold sleeping it off in bed :(

LinusDKD · 17/03/2014 10:19

Oh that must have been so scary shop! I hope he feels better soon!
Thanks

OneLittleLady · 17/03/2014 10:53

Oh no Shop, how scary, poor DH and poor you too. Hope DH is going to be alright Thanks Thanks

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/03/2014 11:02

Oh shop Flowers for you and DH - must have been terrifying but at least that part's over now and he's getting better. Hope your DS is ok too.

Morning all.

Marsha good news re wedding! When is it - am sure we can help with dress.

Not so sunny today (as of a couple of hours ago) :( Am wearing bright red J crew trousers, grey top and clarks monk shoes, feels a bit casual but is quite a quiet week in the office.

Turquoiseblue · 17/03/2014 11:40

Oh no shop, scary stuff. Hope he ok now, and you all get to catch up on some sleep after that.
Blair - sounds like a nice relaxed outfit.
Marsha, yeay! What s the dress code / venue like for it? Have you something to accessorise already or do you think something new ?

libertychick · 17/03/2014 13:20

Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Happy St Patrick's Day to you all Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock Shamrock

Hope your DH is ok Shop. That sort of pain is dreadful.

Love the sound of your outfit Blair, so much that I may copy it sometime! I'd love some red trousers.

QueenC I struggle with jackets in this sort of weather too. I like that quilted Jaegar one and could see you in it.

Today I am wearing a black and white patterned jersey dress that I found in a local charity shop this weekend. I love it, it's very flattering. I don't recognise the label at all (Reflections anyone?), cost £8. Wearing it with red Pure Collection pleated front cardi and black ballet flats.

Great news on the wedding Marsha. Let the dress hunt begin!

Drywhiteplease · 17/03/2014 14:16

Oh no Shop that sounds awful.... And poor you. Thanks hope you are both ok.

Marsha great news about the wedding. We need outfit details ASAP.

Ended up watching "a week with marylin" last night on I player . Quite good. Must get Sex and the City, really can't believe I never watched it. Love a good box set or seven!Grin

Has anyone read "Life after life" by K Atkinson? Don't know how you're getting on shop but I need to know whether it's worth persevering....hate quitting on a book and "The Light between Oceans" has arrived Turq

Drywhiteplease · 17/03/2014 14:16

And Blair fancy red trousers too now

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/03/2014 14:36

Thanks liberty and Dry. These are my red trousers, they do make me feel a bit self conscious, but I saw a picture of red styled with grey yesterday and thought I'd give it a go as I needed ideas for how to wear them. I'd also love to be brave enough to try them with a bright pink top but I don't currently own one.

QueenC on the spring jackets, could a non-biker leather one be an option? Maybe collarless or with a centre zip? Sorry if no help as all I wear are trench coats (weekdays) and leather bikers (weekend)!

Annianni · 17/03/2014 14:37

Hope your dh is ok Shop, it must have been so scary.

I have them all on dvd if you want to borrow them Dry?

Dh is off work this week so no shopping for me and very little mnetting too
It's Ds2's birthday on Friday so we're planning lots of child related activities Hmm

Day 1... Been scooting down Blackpool prom.
(the only time I can bear being in b'pool is out of season)

MarshaBrady · 17/03/2014 14:42

Thanks everyone! I'm pleased and relieved as I think I would have felt sad to miss out, I don't get to do many family things. Shocking really as I have so many cousins here. So I'm glad dh has had a turnaround. (Not sure what they would have thought about Marsha and Dry on the invitation Dry Wink Grin).

So that's good but he did say rather quickly that doesn't mean a new dress. Of course it does!

So I have nothing really, all the dresses I have are too dressy or formal. I need that light, Spring wedding-ok dress. I can imagine it in my head but yet to see it. It's at the end of May so quite a bit of time to find something. Maybe I'll finally have the Liberty voucher by then and I can use it for the dress.

Happy St Patrick's Day Liberty, love that Shamrock.

Dry it's good for the clothes. The films are baaad.

Blair they are lovely.

Shop how is dh?

BrandyAlexander · 17/03/2014 14:47

I am sooo bored! I am at home trying to stay off mumsnet and do my reports on my team! I am a picture of teenage casualness in my pink Ambercombie & Fitch 3/4 tee and Superdry grey joggers with pink stripe. Grin

BrandyAlexander · 17/03/2014 14:49

Who doesn't wear a new dress to a wedding? With this face?... Shock... is what i would say to dh! Grin

I meant to say happy St Patrick's Day Shamrock to Liberty, Decam, Turq and anyone else I missing out!

MarshaBrady · 17/03/2014 14:54

Quite Novice Grin. Good luck with that! I thought.

Oh yes Shamrock to Turq and Decam too, is there anyone else?

Drywhiteplease · 17/03/2014 15:07

Blair exactly my fav style. Will keep an eye out. A great buy on your part. Last autumn I bought a red skirt and went on and on about it on here and a fushia jumper but never managed to pluck up the courage to wear them together. Love that combo just not on me Grin also love cobalt blue and emerald, but again, scaredy pants

santamarianovella · 17/03/2014 15:16

shop hope dh is better today*

Happy st Patrick day to liberty, decam, turq [sharock]

marsha what would you get?

I know that its blasphemy to some of you,but I really don't get sex and the city, Blush carrie Bradshaw is one terrible character,I really wanted to slap her at various occasions ,
dry I think you will like Charlotte she is a bit OCD,and lives in this gorgeous apartment.,and dresses very classically and ladylike very much your style, but not in the first season, much later on.
