Long hair to pixie cut, yey or ney?

Have name changed, fed up of my long hair weighing me down, it's not in great condition any more, I never get a chance to dry and style it and I wear it up in a messy bun every single day.
So considering going for the chop, have an appt booked for Monday, do I go for a pixie cut and will it be easier to manage (have two under three and NO time for myself ever!!) anyone ever regretted doing this?

YAY. You look absolutely fab. I pixied my waist-length hair and donated it. Felt amazing! I loved having it short so much I even buzzed it for a while! I'm growing it out again now but I would definitely do it again in future :)

Liz you just made me laugh, I think you're right though and there is something that feels good about 'shocking' people, however trivial it is! Most of my friends and family are quite blunt though so I will know if they don't like it!
Also enjoying these looking younger comments, will gladly take them thank you very much and maybe not point out that I'm wearing makeup in the new hairdo photo and not in the other two
Foolssilver you may be surprised, I hadn't considered short hair in the last few years as didn't think it would suit me. Maybe ask your hairdresser what they think?

Mine was short for years and yes, i had to wash and style it everyday, but i timed it once and it took a minute and a half to blow dry - not exactly a chore!!
