£5000 to spend...

Great Aunt Maud has died at the grand old age of 105, she has left vast amounts of money to the local cat's home, amongst various other charities... plus some to buy memorial benches

Her dying wish was that you spent her money on a fabulous day out shopping... Maybe £10,000 would be better tbh...

She was a firm believer in having a good coat and shoes.

So... you must buy a fabulous handbag for daytime, an evening bag, coat, shoes and an amazing piece of jewellery.
(plus anything else you'd like with the change)

What would you buy?
no Chanel bags please

Loving some of these suggestions.

Sorry Queenc, but the lovely Maud left the house to me! :o

If you're a very good girl Wink I might give you another 10...

Navy rick owens leather jacket
Manolos
Re-issue 2.55

God, frightening how little time it took me to come up with that list Wink

QueenCadbury · 14/01/2014 10:18

Another 10k

In that case I may have a diamond bangle too.

bunnymother · 14/01/2014 10:46

Another £10K?

Then maybe I will buy a Chanel bag, same as MrsCB. But I might also buy an antique French rivière diamond bracelet, but then this Art Deco diamond necklace looks terrific: here

Some Bionda Castana heels, too.

If another £10-20k becomes available, it might be time to buy a carriage clock and / or silk Persian rug. Plus some Mappin Webb enamel rooster cocktail sticks.

bunnymother · 14/01/2014 10:52

Oh, and I sound like I am 89, with this list. Which reminds me, I'd better keep some money aside for some Botox. And maybe more.

If Maud's house has sold then I'll have this Rolex Zebra. It would work a plain black outfit into next week.

Or, for the gown it's stupid, but I'd get a vera wang wedding gown, in a colour so its not too weird (I wanted one when we got married, but couldn't justify the cost). I would get this. I reckon I'd look pretty awesome tangoing with DH in that.

santamarianovella · 14/01/2014 16:28

Am I too late to play?

I will have thislove bracelet.

Another pair of rockstuds

And with the rest of the money will get some trashy lingerie from Kiki de montparnasse.

whataboutbob · 14/01/2014 20:20

I d get on the Eurostar to Paris and head for the Agnes b shop on rue du jour. I d ask someone there to build up 3 or 4 different outfits. Wouldn't necessarily buy what they said but it would be a starting point. Then I d go to Repetto for some lovely shoes.

tethersend · 14/01/2014 22:01

I'd raid her wardrobe for vintage treasures and spunk the money on the horses.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 14/01/2014 22:47

Amen to that. Tethers you are rock and roll.

Annianni · 15/01/2014 08:37

And the winner is...

Tethers

Maud would love you!
