I couldn't see that anyone else had started a new thread, after Stropps carelessly finished the old one without starting a new one, so here you are. Xmas GrinXmas GrinXmas Grin

Forever young rod stewart
Sunday girl Blondie
You make me feel so young frank Sinatra
Young gifted and black Nina Simone

Stropperella · 10/01/2014 18:13

Oh well, if you're bringing Rod Stewart into this, Young Turks. Grin And YY to Jack and Diane
MI, you are actually v saintly. I would not sanction tai chi time away without reciprocals of some variety.

cremolafoam · 10/01/2014 18:21

MI Shock A WEEK!
Outrageous btw.

addle · 10/01/2014 18:28

one step beyond/madness - although without you by nilsson is what actually appeared to be no.1 during much of my younger teen years

mi - make sure you do plenty of watching films you like etc etc and not just hanging around, esp. if dds are actually v busy socially.

am also sure we could find coffee stop somewhere between sw2 and you one morning next week, if the walls are crowding in. just pm me – i'll be gibbering quietly in front of the laptop in my kitchen.

cremolafoam · 10/01/2014 18:32

A Teenager in Love
Dion and the Belmonts

bigTillyMint · 10/01/2014 18:33

My Perfect Cousin is The Undertones too.
Got some great suggestions, but not Young Turks! Maggie May for Rod Stewart! Or You're in my Heart (but that may have something to do with my first loveBlush!)

herbaceous · 10/01/2014 18:34

House of Fun, Madness
Because we want to, by some annoying little madam who's name escapes me

bigTillyMint · 10/01/2014 18:34

Baby Love - Supremes?

bigTillyMint · 10/01/2014 18:35

Yes, I was thinking of Madness too!

Auriga · 10/01/2014 18:38

Don't know how I'd cope without dh for a week now. When he was ill I needed a lot of help and I only have one DD (plus DM, dog and cat but I subcontracted dog). One thing for cardiac or spinal surgery, another thing altogether for Tai Chi Hmm

Herbs Grin at association between fire-persons, carrots and courgettes.

There's a question mark over me for Friday, as we may now need to go and fetch DM from DSis's that w/e. Hope not but no-one else seems to have a plan. Don't want her stranded up there if we have a Polar Vortex (eek).

wilbur · 10/01/2014 18:41

These are brill - have got some of them but not all, so am going to hit iTunes later. I'll add my favourite song of all time - Do Anything You Wanna Do by Eddie and the Hot Rods. This is shaping up to be an excellent playlist - may have to put it on my gramaphone Walkman iPod too.

MI - I had a lot of dh being away last summer during his "I'm a much younger man who cycles up mountains" phase, but not for a whole week. Shock You are definitely owed.

wilbur · 10/01/2014 18:44

Are we getting the polar vortex then? Gawd. My new windows don't arrive until Feb...

bigTillyMint · 10/01/2014 18:49

Fingers crossed Auriga. Is bad weather forecast again?

DH went away on a 2 wk cricket tour to Barbados when DD was 1 and I was pregnant with DS. He hasn't tried it since!
I guess we would survive fine now, although I would be hacked off with taxiing on the weekend and dealing with teen-angst...
And yes, you have earned your Crepey weekend away MI!

Stropperella · 10/01/2014 19:02

Polar vortex?? Please no.
Wilbur, you need some Squeeze. Cool for cats?

cremolafoam · 10/01/2014 19:20

Polar vortex Shock
Should I order more coal? Auriga - at least you will be toasty in your aubergine coat!
Tbh the idea of a week without dh kind of appeals now we've got netflix....

lalsy · 10/01/2014 19:29

I was going to step waaaay outside my comfort zone and suggest a track and it was Cool for Cats!

MI, I second addle's suggestions especially about the not hanging around if dc busy, I have fallen into that trap when dh not around (he often isn't).

addle · 10/01/2014 19:53

off the wall/michael jackson

wham rap [I'll get my coat]

cremolafoam · 10/01/2014 20:05

Grin wham rap

MrsSchadenfreude · 10/01/2014 20:10

Yes, I was going to say, you have to have some Squeeze, and Cool for Cats is a much better option than Up the Junction.

Love is a Battlefield, Pat Benatar?
Kids in America - Kim Wilde (or One Direction...)
74, 75 - The Connells
Buggles - Video Killed the Radio Star
Jilted John? Grin

OP posts:
MrsSchadenfreude · 10/01/2014 20:11

Club Tropicana.

OP posts:
Blackduck · 10/01/2014 20:13

Making plans for Nigel - can't recall who! (Xtc?)

Saturdays kids - jam, or That's entertainment

Sunscreen - baz luhrmann

Young guns - wham

Blackduck · 10/01/2014 20:20

Do anything you wanna do - Eddie and the hot rods
Kicks - boomtown rats

Stropperella · 10/01/2014 20:39

Oh yes, Jilted John. Ds would love that. Grin I must compile a mix to inflict all these lovely tunes on my own dcs. Grin

herbaceous · 10/01/2014 21:05

I can remember all the words to Jilted John. Yet not what I went upstairs for. Hurray for middle age.

Portia4 · 10/01/2014 21:09

Ladies, 'just wanted to delurk and let you know that I'm loving the playlist, I was going to say that I'm off to download it, but in reality I'm off to get DD to download it! Happy new year to you all!
