Love her clothes and hair and everything!

But not sure I could pull it off ..... or afford it!!

I am 5'2 and a 16/18 and casper pale with mid length brown hair. I just love the colours she wears and the shapes. I tend to be in black trousers and a boring top all the time.

And that awful dress makes her shoulders resemble those of an American footballer. Not flattering.

It's the clothes. Superfrump.Trolley dash in Bon Marche

I loves her. Dresses from Jaeger, shoes from Hobbes, good grooming and old money is what you need to complete the look!

Report
LittleBabyPigsus · 17/12/2013 00:09

Her dresses are really not Bon Marche type Hmm It's not what I would wear but it's clearly good quality and from upper mid-range shops.

Some of you are just plain nasty. No wonder I feel so insecure about everything when there's always someone on here to make an unpleasant judgement about a stranger's size/hair/dress sense. The OP said something nice about her. If you don't agree you don't need to say so, neither do you need to make rude comments about weight and health. Can't we all just be a bit more pleasant to one another?!

I saw Kirsty allsop irl, twice, this summer. We were staying in the same village. She looks about 5ft 5-6" and size 14-16. She is lovely and feminine, quite charming

She always has fabulous shoes.

I like her. She puts together some odd ensembles but carries it off with confidence and style.

I think she's gorgeous. Great skin, great hair. I reckon she eats well, sleeps well & dresses beautifully for her shape.
My GM would've said 'we'll turned out'.

My dh fancies the pants off her. I don't think she's frumpy, not my style, but then I still dress like a student. Grin

Some pretty unkind comments on here re her weight. I think she looks pretty and actually quite normal weight wise. People come in different shapes and the one that the media likes to insist on causes a lot of harm.

I think she looks bloody lovely, OP. Actually she looks like my sister so I am biased, but still: good grooming.

Agree wholeheartedly lifeissweet

I never normally post in this bit, but I have to join in to agree - why do people feel the need to be unnecessarily horrible?

I entered this thread because I also l love her look and am interested in how to achieve it - and I love the way she puts herself across on telly. I don't think I could pull it off as I don't think I have the confidence or the budget I think she is a lovely shape and always looks so well groomed.

FWIW I am a short size 10-12, have always been 8-10 pre baby - if I could keep my early BF boobs but add in my old size 8 waistline then I could pass for an hourglass Smile

"I think she looks pretty and actually quite normal weight wise"

I think she is pretty and, yes she is normal weightwise - for 2013. There is no way she is a size 12 though. I am 5'7" and a 10/12 and look positively skeletal next to her.

I like her style and think it suits her.

Well turned out - that is exactly it! Plus super glossy and glowy skin!

I like that she wears so many dresses as I really like them but always seem to be in jeans or basic black trousers. Never quite sure what shoes to wear with dresses and I have fat Casper legs!

There is a lot of blinkered self defence or self denial here.
She IS overweight and has been reported / interviewed as saying the same about herself.
Sorry but am sick of the PC attitudes where you aren't allowed to call a spade a spade.
You only have to look at her - you don't need a GP to tell you!- that she's carrying a couple of stones too much.
Size 12? Don't make me laugh!

Her eye brows are awful. Those wrap around dresses she always wears do not suit .

NearTheWindmill · 17/12/2013 08:46

I think she's lovely and looks entirely normal and natural which is refreshing.

Report
varigatedivy · 17/12/2013 08:48

Unfortunately she wears dresses that are very flouncy, full skirted, most of the time, which emphasise her ample hips. It's a very 1950s look, though women in the 50s were much smaller. Just been looking through some old family photos of my mum and MIL and what struck me was how trim all the women were in the 50s, 60s and 70s- and how now- sorry to say this- our sense of what is 'normal size' has changed to fit the increase in size which means people think a size 16 is 'normal' even if you are short.

Who said anything about self? Not overweight here thanks, as if that's relevant. Calling a spade a spade can also be interpreted as being bloody rude. Do you feel the need to point out people's wonky teeth or big ears because it's 'calling a spade and spade'. Probably not. Please go and be unpleasant somewhere else. I can't bear the judgemental attitude. Those saying 'her dress sense is not to my taste' fair enough, but don't slate her size because you don't personally like her style. Especially when other posters disagree. Everyone is allowed an opinion. You don't have to voice judgemental or unpleasant ones though. So don't.

I don't know why this is suddenly a weight thread when it started as a style one.

Wow, bring on the bitch fest!!!

I like it that she has her own style, not just another one in skinny jeans.

I think stuff she wears is a bit Laura Ashley, Monsoon, Phase Eight, Hobbs ish? Maybe even a bit of Cath Kidson or Joules. (Dress) thrown in.

Ignore the haterz OP

I thin she looks great, although I couldn't pull off her look. I think it's down to a combination of self confidence and grooming. Get the grooming wrong and the clothes could stray into frumpy - they would on me, but they don't on her.
