Friday for me

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 26/11/2013 19:01

Marsha I actually like the purple Birger, but I think the silver Superdry Sleep pinned is gorgeous. I don't really go to Superdry for anything either, but have bought DD2 this bag in charcoal tweed for Christmas - Euro-chic worn as a backpack (everyone should go back to school in January with a new Christmas present schoolbag).
Thanks,Dry - now I want a couple of new sofas too

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 26/11/2013 19:07

Noooooo!

One of my favourite daily-read blogs has disappeared! I always read Extra Petite, but when I type it in I just get one of those web hosting thingies. If I google it I can see the details of her last post 10 hours ago, but clicking the link just leads me back to the web hosting. Can anyone else try it for me and see if they get anything? www.extrapetite.com

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2013 19:39

Same here for me Grumpy.

This may be madness. But I love this Sophia Webster glittery clutch.

AmberNectarine · 26/11/2013 19:43

Pinboard is obviously working - DH has had a Harvey Nics delivery today and has missed a DHL!

LinusDKD · 26/11/2013 19:50

I really like that Superdry skirt! Who'd have thought they did other things than jeans and hoodies!

Oooh amber how exciting! Do you have an idea what he might have bought you?

So I ordered the white Equipment shirt in the end. I ordered a Medium so fingers crossed it fits and that it's not too sheer.

What do you wear a white silk shirt with?

AmberNectarine · 26/11/2013 19:59

Well, my white silk shirt is covered in running zebras but I wear it with high waisted pencil skirts, skinny jeans, slim for trousers etc. I love my equipment shirt!!

LinusDKD · 26/11/2013 20:23

At the moment I can only think of my new Topshop grey skinnies to wear with the shirt.

I have a lovely black Ossie Clark high-waisted skirt and a nice black Moschino pencil skirt, but I don't want to look like a waitress with a white shirt and black skirt.

Will try and find some looks I like on Pin.

AmberNectarine · 26/11/2013 20:26

Stick a big sparkly statement necklace under the collar to banish the waitress effect.

shopafrolic · 26/11/2013 20:37

My Outnet order still hasn't despatched (ordered last night). Shall I call them tomorrow? WWYD?

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2013 20:49

Give them a call Shop, see what's going on.

I'll be annoyed if they don't deliver mine by Thursday. They are usually really fast.

shopafrolic · 26/11/2013 21:06

That's the problem, am used to them dispatching really fast. Right, will check tomorrow and then call. Thanks.

shopafrolic · 26/11/2013 21:07

Has yours despatched marsha?

QueenCadbury · 26/11/2013 21:11

Evening all. I'm all shopped out. Unfortunately all toys. I endured the hell that is Smyths, toys r us, hobbycraft and tk maxx today. However I did order this little clutch for myself. I saw it a few weeks ago but didn't really inspect it properly but I love the colour and for £19 thought I'd give it a go.

I know I'm a bit late with my comments but...
marsha I adore that navy silk tee. Tres lush. Out of all the skirts I like the superdry sequins the most. What would you wear on legs/feet though (this is why I don't wear dresses/skirts as I'm useless at styling them)
liberty great boots. I like the stud detailing.
shop nice skinnies. Hope they arrive in time and fit.
linus lovely shirt. I agree with the waitress look but as amber says if you add sparkle that will detract from looking like one. Or how about coloured shoes? I'm sure there'll be some fabulous pins around.

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2013 21:12

Might be 24 hours cs? If you're worried. No despatch here. Bit unnerving.

Linus great decision on the shirt.

MarshaBrady · 26/11/2013 21:14

Thanks QueenC, that clutch is lovely. When I'm in doubt I usually go for smokey grey 30 denier.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 26/11/2013 21:36

Oh dear lord in heaven - DH is watching a programme about maggots under people's skin. I need saving from this.

Can anyone help me find a pair of leopard tights like the ones Pink Peonies linked to a few days ago? Unfortunately they don't ship to the UK and my parents already have several parcels coming they don't know about so I need to find something similar here. I love the dark hue of them and the pattern is so subtle

MrsRadicchio · 26/11/2013 21:48

Hi all, thought I would quickly check in. Still no Internet on the pc - I miss linking but I can still see all of yours! I am also late with my comments but
Linus - as a 'winter' I am keen on the pink shirt but think the white is the classier option. Like the looks you've pinned, ESP the white on white.
Marsha - I like those by malene birger skirts (auto correct made that maleness burger) I am tempted by the black one - great price! The other looks brown on screen but says it is purple? It reminds me of the skirt umlauf pinned.
Shop - lovely jeans and hope they turn up on time. Sounds like you will have a fab time, love the opportunity to dress up (sadly v infrequent!)
One - you look great on mnv, doing really well with the weight loss.
Liberty - lovely boots (v late sorry) they look quite cowboy boot ish.

Grumpy I can't make out the pattern on the tufts but I had something that sounds similar (from your description) in good old m n s.

Ruby I love the DVf dress you pinned - sold out by the time I clicked in to it. Did you get it??

MrsRadicchio · 26/11/2013 21:50

Tufts? Tights! Also chance to dress up is infrequent for me, not shop.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 26/11/2013 21:53

Linking to Pink Peonies to see the tights up close. I'll check out M&S too - thanks.

Drywhiteplease · 26/11/2013 21:53

Ooh I think I'm high yes you heardGrin I've been spraying glass doors to frost them with the most incredible product, but boy, it's strong.

QueenC love the blue clutch!vpretty,v you. I think Amber had a point about statement clutches.
Marsha that sparkly one is great. Love the navy silk t, v versatile.
Grumpy really like the tartan sofa too.
Shop fingers crossed the skinnies arrive. Will need an outfit pic on Friday night.
Linus great white shirt. Think I might wear mine, un waitress like, as Amber suggested with a statement necklace.
Sleep get the dress!
Where's Mig?

Well, I went to town today to do some returns and didn't buy any clothes.
I did, however, look at diamond earrings as you do in my sweaty gym kit the shame and Fell in love with these v pretty, discrete, for everyday alternative to studs. Would love them, but after my ring in the summer, would be rude to ask for more bling this year at least Wink

Final push on kitchen tomorrow. Decorating is done. Blind going up and kitchen man is coming to measure for a sideboard to match rest of units, v exciting! Table is huge and fab ......."pass the salt" "what?" Grin

Thanks MrsR Grin in weightloss related news, I now fit in a Primark size 16 dress! That is down from a Primark size 20 dress in a little over a month! Grin Grin

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 26/11/2013 22:21

Dry stop teasing me with tales of lovely furniture. We moved into our converted barn four years ago and my dining table is waaaay too small for my dining room, but we've been too busy plunging money into the business to ever part with the requisite cash to upgrade to a nice big oak refectory table. I am ordering you to pin pictures of your kitchen when it's all done.

Drywhiteplease · 26/11/2013 22:57

Will do Grumpy...... I adore barn conversions. Love the wood and open spaces and big windows. My house is not impressive from the outside but a bit of a tardis, and I try to make it lovely inside.
