marsha we keep going back to the fumior bar at claridges,its the best in Mayfair IMO,
Also hakasan has a very good bar,very chic,more of to see and be seen kinda place .

I heard good things about bar 45 but have not been there yet!

It worked!!you are right marsha the box is huge,and the shipment box is double the size,the delivery man said that this is my biggest box yet! , he could see how excited I was,the color is perfect, very me! I was feeling bad buying them but they were %30 off,and I never managed to find them discounted in my size.

I will try and remember those bars for when we are coming to London after Christmas.

Any restaurant recommendations? We are really looking forward to eating some extraordinary food in an exciting setting as the restaurant scene here is mediocre to say the least.

I had quite a large box delivered today too, it had these in it. Not sure they deserved a box as big as that which they arrived in, but they are truly gorgeous. Totally impractical, of course, but I love them.

Modern pantry in Clerkenwell ,

Babbo ,albemarle st, the best Italian restaurant in London.

The providores ,marlybone high street,I keep mentioning this a lot,I swear I'm not related to them,but they serve great brunch

Pizza east,shoreditch.

Aisa de Cuba,oldie but still a goodie, one of dh's favourite places,

I'm sure there is more but these are the ones that stand out for me,
I never like a stuffy place, for dinner I like a lively place were you can laugh and talk without feeling others are watching you, and these place are great,specially Asia de Cuba the atmosphere is always nice!

Don't go to the shard, we went there a few weeks ago,and it was nothing special,lovely view though!

DH used to go to Asia de Cuba with work but he never took me there.

The Italian place sounds great as well. I used to love Alloro but that's years ago.

grumpy those are fierce! I would fall over in them.

I am glad I am going back to work tomorrow as I have been on cashmere coat hunt all day and it's not healthy! It is driving me crazy!

Wow at the Lanvin's santa - great colour. Hope your DH is nicer about them than Marsha's DH . I love the Providore's - used to go there a lot in my pre-baby, meeting friends after work days.

Grumpy what will you wear those shoes with? I'd love to meet you and see your style - just when I think I 'know' your look you get something like that and have me wondering again. Love them BTW - just couldn't pull them off myself.
