Amber you're significantly younger (and cooler) than me, what do you think to what I was asking earlier about Jaeger?

justasecond · 17/11/2013 23:05

Dry I just came by to link to the camel All Saints coat for you. I saw it in store today and thought of you. It is lovely irl too. I could wear almost everything in All Saints atm, shame about the prices though.
Will catch up with all the links now.

AmberNectarine · 18/11/2013 06:56

I really like Jaeger stuff shop, they've really upped their game. I think of them as a classic, quality British brand, but with enough quirky detail to make them relevant. Tess Daly wore one of their dresses to present CIN, so they are definitely gaining popularity in the fashion world. Of course there is still the occasional slightly matronly but that can be the case anywhere - I try and look at stores on an item by item basis anyway - saw a lovely top in Viyella the other day!

QueenCadbury · 18/11/2013 07:50

My dh often reads Grazia whilst doing a poo Grin too shop.

I may have to plead with him for the sequinned cardi for Christmas as it's £65 and with presents to buy I can't afford that in December.

shopafrolic · 18/11/2013 07:52

QueenC ! The P word!? On Vogue? Grin
I'm really territorial with my Harpers - won't let anyone touch it until I"ve read it. The same with Style magazine!
Amber good to hear about Jaegar - historically (10 plus years ago) i would have said it was the place my mum shopped (along with Country Casuals)…...

santamarianovella · 18/11/2013 08:54

shop I think I read that jaeger new designer used to work at burberry ,and you can feel it in the clothes, its certainly more edgy,I had a browse when you pinned the coat for dry,and I wouldn't call it mumsy at all.

MarshaBrady · 18/11/2013 09:04

Me too Shop. I don't even bother with the pretence of reading the other sections these days and just go for the ST Style. The ST magazine only gets a flip through.

Linus love that dress thank you. I would have to wear a top with it, not sure if that would bug me. I'm checking stuff out this week on Regent St. It needs to cover lunch then evening, tricky.

Anni love that jumper too thanks, tempted to look in Jaegar too.

On Jaegar yes given that they have a new designer as Santa says, they could do a new thing/ new market quite easily. Must be fun reinvigorating older labels.

MarshaBrady · 18/11/2013 09:06

Umlauf how's the passport situation? Hope you're getting closer.

MarshaBrady · 18/11/2013 09:09

Dry ds2 is just before Christmas too. So nice on this side. Doing a bigger one this year as four is a great age for it all. Ordered loads of crafty stuff for an animal party.

QueenC 2 hours! If you don't order them here, forget about it. You'll be turkey-less.

Funnily enough the same thing happens with crayfish in Aus. You've got to order.

shopafrolic · 18/11/2013 11:51

Dry has your Zara scarf arrived yet? I'm confused Hmm

AmberNectarine · 18/11/2013 12:27

Argh I'm getting drawn in by the competitive worthiness on that purse thread - talk me down!

QueenCadbury · 18/11/2013 12:32

The search for a grey bag is over! My BR one has arrived and it's fab! Bigger than I expected but that's fine as it's a day bag and will fit all the dc paraphernalia in. I was worried about the exotic finish but I actually really like it. It gives texture and more colour to stop it looking so flat iyswim. V happy. So that's 80 on a bag, 135 on style day so I have 190 left.....

shopafrolic · 18/11/2013 12:38

Amber I read the first 10 posts on that last night and thought it was another bench thread. Step away lovely.

LinusDKD · 18/11/2013 12:39

Are they at it again amber?

I ventured on one of those threads a while back and never again. Save your energy to count the days until your Pashli arrives! Wink

LinusDKD · 18/11/2013 12:40

Great news queenc! I'm glad you've found 'The One', it looks lovely!

QueenCadbury · 18/11/2013 12:42

amber unless you enjoy the 'discussions' then step away. There is no winners in these arguments and I don't enjoy that it make s&b so divisive. Come and show us some other lovely bags you're lusting after instead.

Annianni · 18/11/2013 12:44

I might have just joined that thread...

Annianni · 18/11/2013 12:45

Lovely bag QC.

santamarianovella · 18/11/2013 12:50

queen congrats! It's gorgeous,

santamarianovella · 18/11/2013 12:59

amber I agree, ignore the thread, what is really annoying about theses threads is that the OP asks a simple question ,and it turns into this vicious brutal fight,

Annianni · 18/11/2013 13:25

Did anyone see that thread in aibu a few days ago, where someone asked about having a large mortgage, whilst earning £150,000 (i think)

She had some awful comments, accusing her of bragging, when a lot of posters have 10k to survive on etc.

It was awful. Admittedly aibu probably wasn't the best place to ask that question.

I think that sometimes you're only allowed to ask questions if you're poor iykwim. Which is sad.

QueenCadbury · 18/11/2013 13:34

That is awful anni. I don't tend to stray into Aibu anymore. The furthest I stray is onto the discussions of the day. I know to a lot of people we are probably sickening as we spend a lot on clothes/bags/eating out etc but what people forget is that helps keep the economy growing and keeps people in jobs. That might sound like a trite excuse but there is truth in it.

Anyway. Glad you all love my bag as much as I do Grin

shopafrolic · 18/11/2013 14:26

Glad you found a bag you love QueenC
Anni loved your hand grenade lobbed in there - well done
The Zara scarf is odd, I am confused. Dry where are you?? Bloomin people with jobs Grin
It is two large oblongs of fabric, one tartan, one a deep burgundy - but they are only joined along one seam. I have no idea if it's faulty, or if you are supposed to tie it in a way that shows off both. The tartan is a great colour on me - but it is huge, and I haven't cracked tying oblong scarves properly. Any tutorials?

QueenCadbury · 18/11/2013 14:44

No idea shop but the thought of you struggling with a scarf made me Smile. You could start a thread to see if anyone else has it? Or I think one of the all worn out ladies might have it if you check their blog.

QueenCadbury · 18/11/2013 14:45

Speaking of blogs, did anyone else see that DMBL40 wears pop sox. It's good to know I'm not alone Grin
